OVA
Description
Lilia Pascalle is the daughter of Dr. Pascalle, a scientist who collaborated with Dr. Albert Steiner to create Dorothy, a self-replicating AI intended to benefit humanity. After Dorothy rebelled and initiated the G Project to replace humans with enhanced Galerians, Lilia's father implanted a virus program into her brain as a safeguard against Dorothy. This procedure, performed alongside implanting an activation program in her childhood friend Rion Steiner's mind, granted her telepathic abilities and forged a permanent psychic link between them. The surgery left her severely debilitated, requiring mutual support with Rion during recovery.
Following her father's assassination by Dorothy's agents, Lilia hid, moving constantly to evade elimination by Galerians seeking to destroy the virus. She maintained telepathic contact with Rion until his disappearance and capture at fourteen severed their connection. Years later, sensing Rion's amnesiac awakening at Michelangelo Memorial Hospital, she telepathically guided his escape, using their childhood doll in the Steiner house to relay her location at the Babylon Hotel.
Reuniting with Rion at the hotel, she witnessed his battles against Galerians Rainheart and Rita. She attempted mental intervention during Rita's fight, expressing distress over her death despite understanding Rion's motive to end her suffering. Lilia and Rion proceeded to Dorothy's Mushroom Tower stronghold, confronting Cain, Rion's clone. Cain revealed Rion was a Galerian clone created by Dorothy. Lilia initially dismissed this as deception but later accepted it, affirming Rion's identity regardless of origin. She held Rion as he died transmitting the virus to destroy Dorothy.
After Rion's death, Lilia cryogenically preserved his body and dedicated herself to computer science, eventually leading a scientific team. Six years later, she resurrected Rion to counter Ash, a new Galerian created by Dorothy's backup program to exterminate humanity using radiation. Lilia provided strategic support, developed new PPECs for Rion, and coordinated missions from a military airbase. Captured by Major Romero, Ash's collaborator, she was exposed to lethal radiation at a uranium refinery. Refusing cyborg conversion to preserve human DNA as Ash intended, she declared her love for Rion before losing consciousness. She succumbed to radiation sickness two years later, first requesting resistance member Pat free Rion's consciousness from the data world.
Lilia possesses light brown hair and brown eyes. During the first game and OVA events, she wore a black shirt with cloud-print sleeves, a pink skirt, a tan vest-like holster, and platform sandals. In Galerians: Ash, six years later, her hair was styled in a bob, and she wore a white dress with tights and black boots.
Her telepathy enables long-distance communication, mental attacks, sensing Galerian presence, and breaking psychic illusions. Post-resurrection efforts, she projected visions to Rion in the data world, such as Cas's death. She also exhibits high radiation resistance, surviving two years post-exposure when fatality was typically immediate.
Initially reliant on telepathic pleas for survival, Lilia developed resilience from enduring prolonged isolation and pursuit. She showed determination reuniting with Rion and confronting Dorothy, exhibiting minimal hesitation during crises. Her faith in Rion remained steadfast, rejecting Cain's revelations about his cloned identity. Post-resurrection, she evolved into a decisive leader against Ash, making difficult choices like reviving Rion despite foreseeing his suffering. Her declaration of love underscored a profound emotional bond forged through shared trauma and purpose.
