Description
Monspeet, a high-ranking demon of the Demon Clan, commands authority as one of the Ten Commandments, an elite cadre serving the Demon King. Known for his calm, analytical nature, he prefers resolving conflicts through strategy over violence, yet acts decisively when protecting allies. Standing 182 cm tall with auburn hair and a composed expression, his understated yet imposing presence is accentuated by a cloak adorned with a black band.

Born in the Demon Realm, Monspeet fought in the ancient Holy War three millennia ago, battling the Goddess Clan alongside his kin. Following their defeat, he and his fellow Commandments were sealed until freed by Fraudrin. During the war, he and Derieri sacrificed six of their seven hearts to become Indura—monstrous entities fueled by raw power—a choice that left them each with a single heart. Their survival and return to form came through Elizabeth Liones, who purified them with her magic.

Monspeet wields devastating fire magic, including the *Hellblaze Bird*, a flaming avian that relentlessly tracks foes, and the *Ashen Dragon*, a colossal wave of fire unleashed at full magical strength. His *Conjurer’s Joke* enables teleportation by swapping places with objects of matching size and weight. Keen sensory abilities allow him to detect enemies across hundreds of kilometers, supported by a power level of 56,000—34,000 of which stems from magic. As the bearer of the Commandment of Silence, he curses those who divulge secrets or confess in his presence, stripping them of their voices.

Central to his existence is his bond with Derieri. He deciphers her cryptic speech as her interpreter and harbors silent affection, forbidden by his Commandment from expressing it openly. This unspoken tension surfaces when he nearly confesses his feelings during Meliodas’s betrayal, though Derieri remains oblivious. After the Ten Commandments’ revival, the pair absorb human souls to regain strength before retreating to a secluded cabin, embracing fleeting peace. Their tranquility shatters when Estarossa attacks to seize Derieri’s Commandment. Monspeet sacrifices himself to shield her, detonating his remaining magic in a cataclysmic explosion against their foe. His final act prevents him from conveying his hidden emotions, leaving their bond forever unspoken.

Throughout his life, Monspeet grapples with the futility of eternal conflict, a reflective mindset uncommon among demons. Once an Indura, his strategic intellect and unwavering loyalty paint him as a tragic figure seeking redemption through protective silence, ultimately choosing Derieri’s survival over his own.
