OVA
Description
Nyarth, known as Meowth in English-language media, is a Pokémon uniquely capable of speaking human language, a skill acquired through dedicated effort to impress a female Meowth, though this endeavor ultimately failed.

In the specific special, Nyarth organizes a party, dispatching crescent-shaped invitations to various Pokémon. An initial misunderstanding arises when the Pichu Brothers and their friends find no invitation, later resolved by the arrival of delayed invitations. Overseeing preparations, Nyarth directs helpers including Wobbuffet, Cubone, and Squirtle Squad members. Nyarth displays impatience during setup, criticizing Cubone's makeshift drum set and calling it a "numbskull," but quickly offers reassurance to maintain morale.

Demonstrating leadership, Nyarth coordinates rehearsals for a musical performance and ensures proper venue arrangement. The party culminates in the debut of Nyarth's band, "Meowth's Music Attack," performing the song "Meowth's Party." This segment features dynamic 3D animation with varied interactions per viewing. Nyarth's role as an entertainer is highlighted through stage announcements and showmanship. A comedic incident occurs when Nyarth checks unlaunched fireworks and is unexpectedly propelled into the air by their ignition.

Beyond this event, Nyarth is commonly associated with Team Rocket, collaborating with Jessie and James. It often devises schemes, operates machinery, and translates Pokémon speech for humans. Despite self-centered tendencies, Nyarth has shown occasional kindness, such as caring for Misty's Togepi or expressing hypothetical friendship with Pikachu under different circumstances.

Nyarth possesses diverse skills beyond typical Pokémon capabilities, including lock-picking, piloting aircraft, singing, and dancing. Its personality blends pragmatism, ambition for recognition, and moments of vulnerability. Financial concerns frequently surface due to Team Rocket's limited resources, reinforcing Nyarth's role as a tactician focused on practical outcomes.

Within Team Rocket, Nyarth maintains a complex dynamic, valued as a strategist yet sometimes feeling excluded by the closer bond between Jessie and James. Background experiences of loneliness and efforts to fit in contribute to a multifaceted identity balancing comedic antics with occasional depth.
