Description
Nyarth (Meowth) operates as part of Team Rocket alongside Jessie and James in "Pokémon the Movie: I Choose You!". The trio trails Ash and his companions throughout their journey, aiming to capture Ho-Oh. They provide primarily comedic slapstick relief and conduct background surveillance, often observing Ash's group from a distance using their signature hot air balloon.
Team Rocket attempts intervention during specific events, such as when Ash's Metapod evolves into Butterfree and uses Sleep Powder on wild Primeape. They try to capture the sleeping Primeape but fail when the Primeape awaken and retaliate, launching Team Rocket skyward. Later, they pursue Ash's group to Mount Tensei to witness Ho-Oh's appearance. During the climax, Meowth loses his grip on a rock face in his excitement upon seeing Ho-Oh, causing the trio to tumble downward.
