TV-Series
Description
Kanchi Imada, also known as Eddie Archer, is Nate Adams' classmate and close friend at Springdale Elementary School. Residing in an affluent neighborhood, he comes from a wealthy family with parents frequently occupied by work, leading to periods of solitude like on his birthdays. He has brown, unkempt hair, high-placed eyebrows, and "sleepy" eyes, often wearing orange headphones that match the patches on his green jacket. His typical outfit includes a collared white shirt, blue undershirt, rolled capris, and blue-and-white shoes. He is notably shorter than friends Nate and Bear.

His personality is relaxed yet reserved, maintaining a calm demeanor with minimal facial expressions or occasional awkward smiles. While friendly with Nate and others, Katie observes he may privately consider himself superior. He excels academically and demonstrates strong technological proficiency, frequently using gadgets and playing video games. This skill is evident when he disables a museum security system during an investigation. He exhibits mild irritation at times but internalizes frustrations. A recurring trait is his skepticism toward the supernatural, insisting on scientific explanations for unusual occurrences, such as attributing a self-playing piano to mechanical malfunctions.

In the games, he plays significant roles across multiple quests. In *Eddie's Search*, he investigates rumors of possessed samurai armor at the Gourd Pond Museum. During *Yokai Aren't Real!*, he reports strange family behavior—his father overeating, his mother feeling perpetually cold, and his own unexplained jealousy—resolved after Yo-kai interventions. In *High-Tech Hide And Seek*, his prized Mega Watch is stolen by a crow and later by the Yo-kai Yoink, leading to a chase culminating in its recovery. Other quests involve him organizing social gatherings disrupted by Yo-kai, seeking retro toys through time travel, and assisting Bear while temporarily inspirited into a hero persona. In *Yo-kai Watch 3*, he participates in upgrading Robonyan alongside other tech enthusiasts.

In the anime, storylines include being inspirited by the Yo-kai Sandmeh during his birthday, causing indecisiveness until realizing he misses his parents' presence. In *Yo-kai Watch: The Movie*, he discusses strange town events with friends while denying belief in Yo-kai. Later films feature minor roles: a non-speaking cameo during a Santa delivery mishap in *Lord Enma & the Five Tales, Nyan!*, and bargaining with Bear for a rare toy figure in *The Great Adventure of the Flying Whale & the Double World, Nyan!*. He also appears in early seasons, such as when inspirited by Roughraff into delinquent behavior.

His relationships center on friendship with Nate, whom he advises and teases, though his dynamic lacks depth with Bear and Katie. He shares a cordial but distant relationship with his parents due to their busy schedules. Trivia notes he is the third most prone in his friend group to Yo-kai inspiritation, after Nate and Katie, and his zodiac sign is implied to be Scorpio in one episode.
