Chie Satō is a Japanese voice actress born on July 1, 1964, in Saitama Prefecture. She is a graduate of the Aoni Juku training school and has been affiliated with the agency Aoni Production throughout her career, which began in 1985.
Satō is primarily known for her remarkable longevity in several major anime franchises. Her most significant and enduring role is Bo-chan in the long-running series Crayon Shin-chan, a character she has voiced since 1992. Her portrayal of Bo-chan has extended to nearly all of the franchise's theatrical films, including those such as Eiga Crayon Shin-chan Shinkon Ryokō Hurricane, Eiga Crayon Shin-chan Shūrai! Uchūjin Shiriri, and many others.
Another pillar of her career is her work on the Yo-kai Watch franchise, where she provides the voice of Kanchi Imada. This role has spanned the original television series, its sequel Yōkai Watch ♪, and multiple movie adaptations like Yo-kai Watch: The Movie.
