Description
Camus is an idol in QUARTET NIGHT under Shining Entertainment, originally hailing from the Kingdom of Permafrost's Silk Palace. He comes from an earl family that has served the Silk Queen for generations, a loyalty that earned him his name and which he continues to honor. He journeyed to Japan for undisclosed reasons to meet Shining Saotome, who then scouted him for the idol industry.
In appearance, Camus is tall with long blonde hair, a pale complexion, and icy blue eyes. He favors a formal, elegant style, often dressed in white and navy with silver accessories, and carries a scepter-like rod featuring a blue gem. Some depictions show him wearing reading spectacles.
His personality is dual-natured: publicly, he is charismatic, graceful, and courteous, presenting a refined butler-like idol image. Privately, he is cold and callous, showing minimal interest in personal connections beyond professional duties. His foremost allegiance remains with the Silk Queen, and he takes immense pride in his homeland, speaking of it with passion. This two-faced demeanor often causes friction, especially with Ranmaru Kurosaki, whose ideologies clash with his and who is irritated by Camus’s preachy tendencies. Camus is methodical, frequently taking detailed notes and conducting thorough research.
His relationships are largely professional. Within QUARTET NIGHT, he acts as a mentor to Cecil Aijima, a role he performs diligently despite frequent irritation with Cecil’s behavior. He often argues with fellow member Ranmaru Kurosaki. Camus maintains formality with others, addressing them by last names and avoiding familiarity.
A notable development occurs when he permits the protagonist, Haruka Nanami, to choose a Japanese surname for him. She selects "Cryszard," blending "Crystal" and "Blizzard." Camus adopts the middle initial "R," which he pronounces as "Rondo" to signify eternity.
In terms of preferences, Camus enjoys sweets that accompany tea and carries sugar and condensed milk regularly. His hobbies include horse riding, fencing, and ice skating, with a skill for performing triple axels. He owns a borzoi dog named Alexander, noted for its resemblance to him. He dislikes spring for its half-heartedness and prefers summer for long walks with his dog.
As a musician, his instrument is the cello, and his theme color is ice blue. He participates in various unit combinations and performances with other characters.
