Lisa Isaribi, introduced in the anime Fire Force, is a Third Generation pyrokinetic who initially appears as a kind and caring young woman living with Vulcan Joseph and his assistant Yu in the Vulcan Workshop. She was taken in by Vulcan after her parents were killed by Flame Humans, and she quickly becomes devoted to her new family, showing genuine worry for Vulcan’s increasingly desperate situation and a fiery, protective nature toward those she cares about.

However, Lisa’s background is far more complicated. She was originally planted as a spy by Dr. Giovanni of the Knights of the Ashen Flame, tasked with learning Vulcan’s family secrets regarding the Amaterasu. Though she was brainwashed to serve Giovanni’s bidding, her true kind personality would surface whenever Vulcan treated her with warmth and trust. Dr. Giovanni exploited this conflict, coercing her into a fear-induced alternate persona known as Feeler, in which she acted as his agent and an antagonist in the Vulcan’s Workshop arc.

Over the course of the story, Lisa breaks free from Giovanni’s control and becomes a genuine member of Special Fire Force Company 8. Her motivations shift from survival under coercion to a desire to protect her found family and atone for her past actions. As a Third Generation pyrokinetic, she can generate and manipulate flames from her own body. Her signature ability is to shape her flames into octopus-like tentacles, which she uses to strike enemies with blunt force, grapple them, or restrain them. These whip-like tentacles also possess magnetic properties, adding versatility to her combat style.

Lisa’s key relationships center on Vulcan and Yu, whom she considers family. Her loyalty to Vulcan drives much of her emotional struggle and later redemption. Within Company 8, she finds a new sense of belonging and purpose, fighting alongside them to safeguard others. Her development is marked by overcoming the trauma of manipulation and proving herself as a reliable ally willing to risk everything for those she loves.
