Elizabeth Maxwell is an American voice actress known for her extensive work in English dubs of anime, animation, and video games. She was born on October 13, 1983, in Paradise, California. Growing up in Northern California, her early interest in performance was sparked by her brother, who introduced her to anime and Japanese role-playing games. She decided on an acting career by the age of five and went on to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater from Chapman University in Orange, California. After beginning her career with live-action roles in film and television, including an appearance on Criminal Minds, she relocated from Los Angeles to Austin, Texas. There, she began pursuing voice-over opportunities more seriously, persistently auditioning at Funimation (now part of Crunchyroll).

Her breakout role in anime came in 2013 when she was cast as Ymir in the critically acclaimed series Attack on Titan, a role she would reprise in subsequent seasons and films. This marked the beginning of a prolific career in anime dubbing. She is widely recognized for her portrayal of Albedo, the devoted and powerful guardian overseer in the Overlord series, a role she has played across multiple seasons including Overlord III and Overlord IV, as well as the crossover series Isekai Quartet. In the long-running series My Hero Academia, she voices the pro-hero Midnight (Nemuri Kayama), a character for whom she has expressed a deep connection, sharing her thoughts on the character's narrative journey in interviews. Her other notable anime roles include Arisa Uotani in Fruits Basket and its final season, Tohko Yotsuya in Mieruko-chan, Sae Niijima in Persona 5 the Animation, Caulifla in Dragon Ball Super, Lisa Isaribi in Fire Force, and Executioner in Girls' Frontline. She has a recurring collaboration with Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda franchise, voicing the Gerudo leaders Urbosa and Riju in Breath of the Wild, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, and Tears of the Kingdom. Her other prominent game credits include Rosaria in Genshin Impact, Natasha in Honkai: Star Rail, Caulifla and Kefla in multiple Dragon Ball games, Saeko Mukoda in Yakuza: Like a Dragon and its sequel, Virginia in Unicorn Overlord, Elaine Auclair in The Legend of Heroes: Trails Through Daybreak, D.U.M.A. in Star Ocean: The Divine Force, and several characters in Cookie Run: Kingdom. She also voiced the protagonist X in the action game Slave Zero X and appeared in Zenless Zone Zero as Evelyn Chevalier. Her work in web animation includes the long-running role of Winter Schnee in Rooster Teeth's RWBY and its related series, as well as Nikki in Camp Camp.

Throughout her career, Elizabeth Maxwell has been recognized for her talent with multiple award nominations. In 2014, she was nominated for Breakthrough Voice Actress of the Year. The following year, she received a nomination for Best Female Lead Vocal Performance in an Anime Movie/Special for her role as Motoko Kusanagi in Ghost in the Shell: The New Movie. In 2017, she was nominated for Voice Actress of the Year and for Best Female Lead Vocal Performance in an Anime Television Series/OVA for her work as Sanae Kouzuki in Sakura Quest. Based in Austin, Texas, she remains an active participant in fan conventions and continues to work across a variety of projects in animation and gaming.
