Description
Cordelia Gallo is the biological mother of the series' main protagonist, Victorique de Blois. She was born in the Village of the Gray Wolves, a hidden community known for producing people with exceptional intelligence. As a member of this group, she possesses the characteristic blonde hair and green eyes that are common among its inhabitants, and she bears a strong physical resemblance to her daughter, Victorique.

Her early life was marked by tragedy and injustice. At the age of fifteen, Cordelia was falsely accused of murdering the village elder. The true culprit was another villager, but Cordelia was swiftly convicted and sentenced to exile. She was cast out with only a single gold coin and a small briefcase of clothes as punishment for a crime she did not commit. Before leaving, she carved a message proclaiming her innocence on the elder's tombstone. After her exile, Cordelia worked as a dancer to earn a living. Her life took another difficult turn when she caught the attention of the influential Marquis Albert de Blois, who was interested in her rare bloodline. She was forced to become his mistress, and from this union, her daughter Victorique was born.

Cordelia's personality is defined by a powerful combination of deep love and unyielding mental strength. Despite being forced into a relationship with the Marquis and giving birth to Victorique under duress, her love for her daughter is immense and unwavering. She frequently refers to Victorique as her soul, indicating the profound connection she feels. Throughout her life, which was filled with suffering and hardship, Cordelia never lost her inner light or her indomitable spirit. Other characters, including Brian Roscoe, admire her as a figure of true maternal strength who remains resilient in any storm. She is a caring and considerate person who demonstrates bold action and cool-headed judgment when necessary.

Her primary motivation is the protection and well-being of her daughter. Even from a distance, she constantly watches over Victorique and seeks to secure her future. In her daughter's infancy, Cordelia gave her a gold coin necklace, which contained a hidden photograph of herself. She made a promise to Victorique that as long as she had the necklace, she would always come to save her. This token serves as a lasting symbol of her enduring vigilance and love.

Cordelia plays a crucial role in the narrative as a hidden protector and a tragic figure from the past. For a time, she was confined to a mental hospital by Marquis de Blois before being rescued by the magician Brian Roscoe. During a key event when Victorique was imprisoned within Beelzebub's Skull, Cordelia deliberately led the protagonist Kazuya Kujo to the correct location, enabling him to rescue her daughter. Later, when Victorique was captured, Cordelia took a final, decisive action. She took her daughter's place and appeared at a formal ceremony for Marquis de Blois, where she made an attempt on his life. This act led to a fatal confrontation with the Marquis, resulting in her death. Her final words express her ultimate wish for her child: Burn, flames, and illuminate that child's future.

Cordelia’s key relationships are central to her character. Her relationship with her daughter Victorique is the most significant, defined by a fierce, protective love that transcends physical separation. Her connection with Brian Roscoe is that of a traveling companion and ally; he saved her from the asylum, and she later accompanies him, with both sharing a connection to Victorique. In contrast, her relationship with Marquis Albert de Blois is that of a victim and an oppressor, born from coercion and ultimately leading to her final, fatal confrontation with him.

Throughout the story, Cordelia Gallo is portrayed as a woman of great sacrifice. Her character develops from a falsely accused exile and a victim of circumstance into an active agent who orchestrates her own downfall to ensure her daughter's freedom. She leaves behind a legacy of maternal devotion, having sacrificed her life in a desperate attempt to eliminate the threat posed by the Marquis and to secure a brighter future for Victorique. While she does not possess the same deductive abilities as her daughter, her notable abilities lie in her resilience, her capacity to love unconditionally despite immense suffering, and her willingness to take bold, decisive action for the sake of another.
