Description
Critter, a minor antagonist in the War of the Underworld sub-arc of *Alicization*, serves as a hacker consultant for Glowgen Defense Systems, a U.S. private military company, and holds the classification of first-class cyber criminal. His gaunt physique, short-cropped blonde hair, pale-grey eyes, and morbidly pale complexion are accentuated by metallic-framed, goggle-like glasses.

During the Ocean Turtle infiltration, Critter joined the twelve-member team targeting the Underworld’s light cube cluster. When the Japan Self-Defense Forces seized the main control room, he attempted unsuccessfully to bypass the console’s lockdown, sparking heated disputes with teammate Vassago Casals until leader Gabriel Miller intervened. Critter subsequently uncovered two unsecured super accounts—a dark knight and Emperor Vecta—exploited by Gabriel and Vassago to breach the Underworld. He also detected the term "Final Load Test," a pivotal system event dictating the simulation’s timeline.

Critter enabled Gabriel and Vassago’s Underworld entry by linking them to Soul Translators, later relaying critical updates via the console on account reset restrictions and the JSDF’s stalled maneuvers. To escalate the conflict, he orchestrated a "beta test" funneling 20,000 American VR players into the Dark Territory’s ranks, triggering counter-recruitment efforts by allies like Lisbeth from ALfheim Online.

After Gabriel’s demise, Critter sought retaliation by rigging Ocean Turtle’s main engine with explosives, thwarted by Akihiko Kayaba, the Soul Translator’s creator. Shifting tactics, he pivoted to capturing Alice’s light cube in the real world, aiming to exact revenge. His maneuvers highlighted his dual role in merging digital subterfuge with physical sabotage, though his ultimate fate remains unrecorded.
