Description
Kazuma Shishiguro is an SS-rank Yo-kai of the Tough tribe, classified as an Onryo or vengeful spirit. He manifests a humanoid form featuring dark skin, gray hair, piercing yellow eyes, and a metal lip piercing. Prominent burn marks shaped like a lion scar the right side of his face. He typically wears a buttoned school uniform matching Mera Raido's color scheme. His primary weapon is the Lion Sword (獅子刀 激, Shishitō Geki), a moderately curved Shobu Zukuri-style katana with a dark red blade etched in gold, a circular tsuba decorated with golden fiery motifs, and yellow gemstones embedded on both sides.
His origin stems from a mortal life ended while shielding a young girl from a truck. Earlier, he had rescued a young Mera Raido from bullies, sparking Mera's quest for revenge training. When Mera later renounced vengeance, Kazuma tested his resolve by confronting the same bullies. Mera intervened non-violently, an act that secured Kazuma’s absolute loyalty. In the afterlife, Kazuma pledged himself as Mera’s subordinate, adopting the creed: "Boss’s big brother is my big brother" (おやぶんの兄貴は俺の兄貴, Oyabun no aniki wa ore no aniki). He serves as Mera’s ever-present chief of staff, maintaining a taciturn demeanor.
Kazuma excels in swordsmanship and hand-to-hand combat. His signature technique fuses with Mera Raido to become the Yo-kai Hero Shishi O, a bestial fusion state distinguished by a flowing gray mane and shoulder cape. This form channels amplified physical strength through gauntlets delivering powerful punches. In *Yo-kai Watch: Wibble Wobble*, his Soultimate Move "Lion Roaring Sword" (獅子轟来剣) eliminates Yo-kai horizontally across the battlefield. His base stats at level 50 range from 354–623 HP to 498–877 Attack.
