TV-Series
Description
Fubuki Himekawa is a main character in the Y School Heroes series, attending the prestigious Y-Academy as a first-year student specializing in technology. Her admission to the academy was based on her exceptional skills in the IT field, and she is an active member of the YSP Club, a group dedicated to solving mysteries and neutralizing various threats.
In terms of background, Fubuki is the human reincarnated counterpart of the Yo-kai Blizzaria, which explains the similarities in her appearance and certain traits. She has dark blue hair with lighter tips, fair skin, and turquoise eyes. Her standard academy uniform consists of a black shirt with white cuffs, a white neckerchief shaped like a Y, a white skirt, knee-high black socks, and brown loafers. She also possesses a pair of technologically advanced hovering shoes that allow her to float and move at enhanced speeds.
Fubuki possesses a bold personality and has a deep, burning passion for technology, mechanics, and weapons. She loves assembling gadgets and is a devoted fan of mecha, holding the firm belief that machines are inherently incapable of lying. This trust in technology contrasts with her more cautious approach to interpersonal relationships. She carries a YSP Watch, which is the source of her transformative abilities. When in proximity to the Broken Clock Yo-kai, she transforms into the hero Clock Lady. In the presence of the vengeful Onryo spirit, she can become Yami Clock Lady, and using the Majin Watch near the Mermaidyn Yo-kai allows her to transform into Ningyo Lady or Mermaid Lady.
Her role in the story is as a key member of the YSP Club, where she often acts as a tactical strategist, using her technical brilliance to design equipment and support her teammates. She collaborates closely with other main characters, including Jinpei Jiba and Mataro Tamada, with whom she shares a spirited camaraderie. Her abilities in combat include spatial and temporal manipulation techniques. As Clock Lady, she can use a special move called Time Bind, which creates a space where time flows slowly. However, this ability affects everything within that space, including herself, though it does not impede any small clones she might summon.
Fubuki's personal motivations are deeply tied to her past and her family. Backstory reveals that her father was falsely accused in an incident involving a spacecraft and an alleged alien sighting. This event made it difficult for her to trust people, even when they were friendly towards her. Her character development involves confronting this painful memory. Through a mind-travel experience with the Mermaidyn Yo-kai, she learned the truth: her father had conspired with a researcher to fabricate the case out of concern for potential alien infiltrators. Eventually reuniting with her father, she was able to overcome her distrust and partner with Mermaidyn to gain the ability to transform into the ancient Yo-kai Hero, Mermaid Lady.
