TV-Series
Description
Emma Daiōji is a secondary character in the Y School Heroes series and a second-year student at the elite boarding school Y-Academy. Her background is deeply intertwined with the mystical history of the Yo-kai World, as she is the opposite-gender reincarnated counterpart of Lord Enma, the former king of the Yo-kai. Following Lord Enma's defeat and the destruction of the Yo-kai World, his spirit was transported into a new body, resulting in Emma's birth as a human girl.

Within the academy, Emma holds a distinct position as the daughter of the headmaster, Kinya Daiōji, whom her father dearly loves. Despite her father's prominent role, Emma is described as polite yet shy. She is also the leader of the Naginata Club, indicating a level of responsibility and martial skill.

Emma's motivations are closely tied to her personal relationships. After a certain incident, she developed a secret crush on the protagonist, Jinpei Jiba. This event took place when Emma was trapped within the Sword Tower, one of the Seven Academy Mysteries, and was subsequently rescued by Jinpei. This rescue is a pivotal moment that shapes her feelings and her role in the story. She maintains a close familial bond with her father, Kinya, and is also related to Tamayo Daiōji.

Her involvement in the narrative often stems from her personal requests to the YSP Club. For instance, she asks Jinpei and his friends to obtain a popular and mysterious chocolate called "Fortune Bitter Black" that can predict the future, as it is also one of the Seven Academy Mysteries she needs to solve. As a class representative, she is frequently busy with her duties, leading her to rely on others for such favors.

In terms of development, Emma's character arc is defined by her transition from a seemingly ordinary, shy student to someone with a profound connection to the larger conflict between worlds. Her existence serves as a bridge between the human and Yo-kai realms. While she is physically human, her identity as the reincarnation of Lord Enma is a significant aspect of her background. Notably, Lord Enma's spirit initially resided within her body, absorbing her energy to gradually regain a physical form, and he would manifest intermittently in her dreams or during crises before being fully reincarnated as the Headmaster.

Her notable abilities are not extensively cataloged, but her leadership of the Naginata Club suggests proficiency in the use of the naginata, a traditional Japanese polearm. Furthermore, her significance as the vessel for Lord Enma's spirit implies an inherent, latent potential tied to the powerful Yo-kai energy of her past life. Her favorite food is chocolate daifuku.
