Panda's key role begins when the monk Fa-Hai separates Xu Xian from Bai-Niang. He then embarks on a journey with Mimi to find their owner, forming a significant narrative subplot. During this search, Panda and Mimi encounter an animal gang led by a large pig. Panda engages the gang leader in a physical confrontation, a standout sequence. Following this encounter, they befriend the gang members. The actions of Panda and the other animals are conveyed primarily through physical comedy and visual storytelling. Their communication consists largely of animal-like sounds and expressive movements rather than human speech. Panda contributes lighthearted moments to the overall story.
