Philippe Tasquin is a Belgian actor, composer, and musician, born in 1965, who has built a diverse career in music and voice acting. His professional activities include work as a singer, pianist, and conductor, in addition to his extensive voice work for animation.

Tasquin is particularly well known for providing the French voice of the character Meowth, also known as Miaouss, in the Pokémon anime series and films. He first took on the role as a replacement voice in the fourth season of the television series. From the ninth season onward, he became the primary voice actor for the character, a position he held for many years. His portrayal of Meowth is featured in numerous Pokémon films, including Pokémon the Movie: Lucario and the Mystery of Mew, Pokémon the Movie: The Rise of Darkrai, Pokémon the Movie: Hoopa and the Clash of Ages, Pokémon the Movie: Volcanion and the Mechanical Marvel, and Pokémon the Movie: The Power of Us. He also voiced the character in various television series arcs such as Pokémon Advanced, Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, Pokémon Black and White, and Pokémon XY. His tenure as the voice of Meowth continued until the twenty-second season, after which the role was taken over by another actor.
