Description
Natsume Asahina is the seventh son in the Asahina family and the youngest fraternal triplet, distinct from his identical triplet brothers Tsubaki and Azusa. Born on January 1, 1986, he stands 176 cm tall with dyed orange hair (originally black), violet eyes, and a beauty mark beneath his lip. He consistently dresses in formal suits and neckties, accessorized with a watch.

As an executive at Eden Games, Natsume works for the company behind "Zombie Hazard," a game favored by his stepsister Ema Hinata. Unlike most siblings, he resides alone in a private apartment. His personality blends blunt honesty with proactive care, particularly toward family, though he battles low self-esteem rooted in past regrets—chiefly quitting competitive sports, which fractured his bond with brother Subaru.

In youth, Natsume shone in track and shared a close dynamic with Subaru, who idolized him. He abandoned athletics for career stability, deeming sports unsustainable, sparking Subaru’s lasting resentment. Natsume internalized guilt, viewing himself as the family’s "least" accomplished sibling in profession and character.

His relationship with Ema evolves from their first meeting at their parents' wedding, where he mistakenly asks her to leave before apologizing upon learning she is his stepsister. Bonding over shared gaming interests, he develops patient, respectful romantic feelings. Key moments include comforting her upon discovering her adoption, kissing her during distress, and affirming her familial belonging. He consistently prioritizes her well-being while managing his emotions.

A turning point occurs when Natsume injures his leg preventing Ema from falling during a date. During recovery, she visits his apartment to cook, deepening intimacy through nightly proximity in his one-bed space. Encouraged by Ema, he resumes running for passion—not career—mending ties with Subaru by demonstrating renewed dedication.

Natsume owns cats named Tsubaki and Azusa, gifts from his brother that symbolize his affection despite physical separation. He moves back to Sunrise Residence, swapping rooms with Azusa to live adjacent to Ema, and later proposes merging their rooms as a commitment to their future.

His growth involves overcoming self-doubt, reconciling with Subaru, and finding purpose through Ema. He transforms from self-criticism to embracing his past and present, reintegrating into the family while preserving independence.
