Description
Known as "Mii" in Japanese ("Chibi no Mii") or Little My, this diminutive Mymble possesses ginger hair in a top knot, green eyes, fair skin, and a signature outfit: red smock dress, grey or magenta trousers, pink ribbon, black gloves, and boots. She lives with the Moomin family at Moominhouse as part of their household, despite being the younger sister of the Mymble’s Daughter and Snufkin’s older half-sister.

Fiercely independent, Little My exhibits aggression, mischievousness, and blunt disrespect—yet demonstrates fierce loyalty and friendship when motivated. In *Tanoshii Moomin Ikka: Moomin Tani no Suisei* (*Comet in Moominland*), she joins the Moomin family’s journey to the Lonely Mountains observatory to confront a comet threat and later evacuates to a cave. This film appearance predates the 1990 anime series and deviates from the original novel, where she is absent.

Her background remains consistent: born on Midsummer’s Day during Moominpappa’s youth as the smallest of the Mymble’s children. She first appears literarily in *Moominpappa’s Memoirs*, gaining prominence in later books like *Moominsummer Madness* and *Moominland Midwinter*. Adaptations frequently alter her chronological introduction—such as her early inclusion in the 1990 anime versus her later literary debut.

Little My thrives on adaptability and fearlessness. During hibernation in *Moominland Midwinter*, she awakens enthusiastically to embrace winter. In *Moominpappa at Sea*, she cheerfully accompanies the family to a desolate lighthouse island despite hardships. Her interactions blend sarcasm and morbid curiosity with pragmatic problem-solving, exemplified by her unconventional methods to restore visibility to the invisible Ninny in *Tales from Moominvalley*.
