Man-God, known as Hitogami, proclaims himself a deity and serves as the overarching antagonist. His precise origins remain shrouded, but he emerged within the Void World following the Creator God's demise, an event unnoticed by others. He seized the mantle of Human God by usurping or eliminating its original holder, adopting that form. Hitogami then orchestrated the destruction of the other four worlds by manipulating the First Dragon God and the five Dragon Generals, directing survivors towards the Human World. When the Dragon Generals betrayed and weakened the First Dragon God, Hitogami delivered the killing blow. With his final power, the dying First Dragon God entrapped Hitogami within the Void World, barring his physical manifestation in the Human World. Despite this entrapment, Hitogami influences events by manifesting in dreams and communicating with chosen apostles. This method enables his manipulations while sealed. He appears as a featureless entity with a blank white face and an elusive, mosaic-like grin forgotten upon waking. His dream interactions project a friendly, casual persona, masking a deeply manipulative and sadistic nature. He delights in tricking individuals into destroying their most cherished possessions, savoring their ensuing despair. When thwarted, he throws childish tantrums and acts as a sore loser. Hitogami wields divine powers, capable of annihilating entire worlds like the Dragon World with a single strike. His future sight ranks among the strongest, perceiving nearly 100 years into his own future, though precision diminishes when controlling more apostles due to mental strain; he typically limits himself to three for clarity. He also possesses all-seeing eyes, observing any location except areas dense with mana. During dream communications, he reads minds and commands automatic trust from all inhabitants of the Six-Faced World, excluding the Dragon Tribe, otherworlders, and their descendants. His manipulations have steered pivotal historical events. In the Second Great Human-Demon War, he convinced Badigadi to steal the Golden Armor from Demon Dragon God Laplace, triggering a catastrophic explosion that formed the Ringus Sea and split Laplace in two. He orchestrated Pax Shirone's suicide to prevent the Republic of Shirone's formation, thereby foiling Orsted's plan to eliminate Laplace during his rebirth. In alternate timelines, he indirectly caused Roxy Greyrat's death during pregnancy to prevent the birth of Lara Greyrat, prophesied to be crucial to his downfall. He also engineered kingdom takeovers, like Asura, through his apostles. His relationship with Rudeus Greyrat commenced with seemingly beneficial advice, such as guiding him to trust Ruijerd Supardia or locate family. These interventions, however, served his long-term aim of preventing Rudeus's descendants. When a future version of Rudeus revealed Hitogami would cause his loved ones' deaths, Rudeus allied with Hitogami's sworn enemy, Orsted. After Rudeus thwarted several schemes—including an attempt on Roxy's life via an infected rat—Hitogami shifted focus to targeting Rudeus's descendants. A vision implies his eventual defeat involves Lara Greyrat aiding Orsted and another individual in reaching his domain. Hitogami remains confined within the Void World but continues operating through apostles like Geese, Darius, and Reida. He retains influence over former apostles such as Badigadi, who still feels indebted. His existence endures as a lingering threat beyond Rudeus's lifetime.
