Description
Akari Ōzora attends Starlight Academy, aspiring to become an idol after Ichigo Hoshimiya’s Christmas television performance inspired her during fourth grade. Witnessing Ichigo spread joy motivated Akari to assist a struggling classmate on playground equipment, solidifying her resolve to follow Ichigo’s path. Her initial audition for the academy failed. During a second chance via the Starlight School Idol Caravan, Akari’s nervous audition included stumbles and a trip onstage. Ichigo, judging the event, detected an innate "idol light" within her and granted admission.

Early in her enrollment, Akari emulated Ichigo’s appearance, wearing her hair long with a pink bow, believing replication was essential to idolhood. After performing "Original Star☆彡" alongside Ichigo, Ichigo advised Akari to shine with her own light. Akari then cut her hair short, symbolizing her commitment to forging a unique identity and path. Her early academy days involved clumsiness, emotional sensitivity, and frequent performance errors. She joined the demanding Aikatsu Boot Camp to address skill gaps, persistently practicing through physical and mental challenges. Dreamy Crown became her primary fashion brand, and she collaborated with its designer Tsubasa Sena. Akari notably gathered materials for her first Premium Rare Coord, the Odette Swan dress, debuting it during a pivotal solo concert.

When her roommate and close friend Yū Hattori moved abroad, Akari grappled with separation but learned that true friendship withstands distance, strengthening her emotional maturity. She later roomed with Sumire Hikami, bonding despite contrasting personalities. With Hinaki Shinjō, they formed the unit Luminas, shifting toward collaborative growth and nationwide tours. Evolving from an uncertain admirer to a resolute idol, Akari supported peers—helping Juri Kurebayashi gain independent confidence and mentoring newer students like Rin. Her perseverance culminated in winning the Starlight Queen Cup, where she declared her motivation: to become an idol who brings smiles on and offstage, inspired by Ichigo’s example but achieved through her own distinct journey. Her name, Ōzora Akari—meaning "light in the vast sky"—reflects her path to embracing her own radiance and inspiring others.
