Description
Kazuhito Narita is a second-year student at Karasuno High School and a member of the boys' volleyball club, where he plays as a middle blocker. Standing at 180.2 cm (approximately 5'11") and weighing 70.2 kg, he has a tall and athletic build with a shaved head and a calm, unassuming presence that often causes him to blend into the background.

His personality is defined by a calm and steady demeanor, rarely showing signs of agitation even under significant pressure. This composed nature allows him to handle high-stress situations effectively, a quality that becomes a valuable asset for his team. Though he is somewhat shy and reserved, he is also friendly and supportive, occasionally showing a playful side by gently teasing teammates like Ryunosuke Tanaka.

Narita’s background includes a period of struggle that shaped his perspective. During his first year, the team's training became exceptionally harsh under the temporary return of the former coach, Ikkei Ukai. Unable to keep up with the sudden increase in intensity and feeling that the club was no longer enjoyable, Narita, along with his classmates Chikara Ennoshita and Hisashi Kinoshita, made the difficult decision to quit the team. However, they soon regretted their choice and returned after Ikkei Ukai became hospitalized again. This experience left them with a sense of guilt, leading them to refer to themselves as the ungrateful second years. Their return demonstrates Narita's underlying perseverance and his deep, if initially tested, commitment to volleyball.

Within the story, Narita primarily serves as a reliable substitute and backup for the team's starting middle blockers, Shoyo Hinata and Kei Tsukishima. While his role is often to support from the bench, he proves his worth during crucial moments. His most significant contribution comes during the Spring Tournament qualifier final against Shiratorizawa Academy. When Tsukishima is sidelined for medical treatment in the decisive fifth set, Narita is called onto the court. Despite the immense pressure of the situation, he delivers steady, consistent, and error-free plays that help Karasuno endure a critical period. Coach Keishin Ukai specifically praises Narita for his ability to perform at his usual level in such an intense environment, calling it impressive.

His key relationships are primarily with his fellow second years. He shares a very close bond with Ennoshita and Kinoshita, forged through their shared experience of leaving and then returning to the team. The three are often seen together and mutually support each other. On the court, he has a notable synergy with setter Koushi Sugawara, as their timing and combination plays are particularly effective.

Even as a substitute, Narita shows steady development as a player. He is a flexible and skillful middle blocker known for his ability to adapt to imperfect tosses or when the timing with the setter is slightly off. His game sense is high, reflected in his above-average intelligence stat in official guides. He prioritizes stability and consistency over flashy plays. His highest jump reach is recorded at 322 cm. After graduating from high school, Narita leaves volleyball behind and begins working at a real estate company.
