He competed in the Generation's Tōtsuki Autumn Election and attended the Autumn Leaf Viewing event alongside future Elite Ten peers. In the Karaage War, Eizan orchestrated the Mozuya Karaage Specialty Shop's Tokyo expansion to threaten the Sumire Shopping District. After Sōma thwarted this plan, Eizan summoned him to mock his culinary ambitions and vowed to crush him during the Autumn Elections. He rigged the 43rd Annual Tōtsuki Autumn Election by manipulating matchups to pit Subaru Mimasaka against Takumi Aldini and Sōma.
