Description
Ten Kujō, originally Tenn Nanase, is the twin brother of Riku Nanase. Adopted by Takamasa Kujo to settle Riku's medical debts and family burdens, he was removed from the Nanase registry, legally becoming Tenn Kujo. This separation created lasting emotional distance, though he maintained hidden concern for Riku. As children, Tenn cared for Riku during hospitalizations, lining snowmen by his window and burning his fingers making pancakes. He frequently photographed Riku using their father's digital camera, preserving the images. Tenn later revealed he initially pursued his idol career for Riku's sake after joining TRIGGER.

As a TRIGGER member, Tenn exhibits a dual persona. Onstage, he embodies a radiant, polished idol dedicated to flawless performances and fan expectations. Offstage, he displays a cold, emotionally restrained demeanor, often expressing cynicism and showing little regard for his well-being. This contrast stems partly from persistent worry about Riku. His professional philosophy prioritizes audience satisfaction over personal authenticity, leading to conflicts with fellow member Gaku Yaotome, who values genuine self-expression. Tenn prefers resolving disagreements through discussion. He engages in fitness routines like morning walks to watch sunrises and previously evening runs. His dedication includes secretly attending IDOLiSH7 concerts disguised to observe Riku and monitoring TRIGGER's broadcast appearances promptly.

His relationship with Riku remains complex and central. While publicly dismissing their familial connection and refusing invitations to reunite with their parents—asserting they are no longer family—he privately harbors deep affection, jealousy over missing Riku's childhood, and protective instincts. At the Music Award of Peace, he criticized Riku's focus on TRIGGER's struggles rather than the audience, emphasizing an idol's duty to avoid distressing fans. To dissuade Riku from reckless bets, Tenn proposed a counter-bet requiring Riku to quit idol work if Tenn won, highlighting the dangers of mixing personal stakes with professional obligations. He also gave IDOLiSH7's manager Tsumugi Takanashi star-shaped konpeitō candies for White Day, symbolizing his indirect acknowledgment of the group's significance.

Interactions with adoptive father Takamasa Kujo reveal layered motivations. Tenn recognizes Takamasa's loneliness and unresolved obsession with surpassing the legendary idol Zero, which drove him to manipulate individuals like Yuki and Sogo's uncle before targeting children. Tenn aims to fulfill Takamasa's dream to prevent further harm, viewing his own success as a means to end Takamasa's destructive patterns. This dynamic intensified when Gaku Yaotome confronted Takamasa about his harmful behavior, declaring "war" to protect Tenn, potentially escalating tensions between TRIGGER and Takamasa's influence.

Beyond his idol persona, Tenn enjoys mundane activities like meal prepping for the week, freezing portions, and frequenting the amusement park Bandnamcoland. He favors foods such as suama, donuts, omurice, and sugarcane. His childhood preferences mirrored Riku's, including sweets, cats, and J-pop music. Tenn has participated in dessert-eating contests, defeating Tamaki Yotsuba and Nagi Rokuya. He occasionally shows uncharacteristic enthusiasm, like high-fiving Mitsuki Izumi during a successful drama take. Tenn has repeatedly removed Ryunosuke Tsunashi from group chats yet maintains professional camaraderie during collaborations, such as TRIGGER's guest appearance in the i7 Academy special where he adapted to roles like "Venom Snake Tenn," a chemistry club prefect who fights with poisons.

Tenn's actions reflect a struggle between crafted emotional detachment and underlying vulnerabilities. His relief after TRIGGER's victory at the Music Award of Peace revealed concealed anxiety. His journey involves reconciling protective instincts for Riku, obligations to Takamasa, and commitment to his artistry, navigating the isolating expectations of idol perfection.
