Description
In the virtual world of Gunpla Battle Nexus Online, Kazami Torimachi is a Diver who initially embodies the restless pursuit of glory. Outside of the game, he is the son of a fisherman, though he personally dislikes the sea, finding his escape and aspirations within the digital realm. His early days in GBN are marked by a scattered approach to the game; he frequently switches parties in an attempt to find success, but his battle record remains unremarkable. This behavior stems from a deep-seated desire for recognition and a wish to become a hero, a persona he models after Captain Zeon, a famous G-Tube celebrity Diver.

Personality-wise, Kazami begins his journey as a childish and immature individual, often rushing into confrontations without a strategy and suffering quick defeats. His desire to be the center of attention, or the carry of his team, leads to friction with others, as his impulsiveness is not matched by his skill. Despite these flaws, he maintains a lighthearted attitude and possesses a core of persistence that drives him to seek out new challenges. This persistence leads him to recruit the skilled but withdrawn Hiroto Kuga for a mysterious hidden mission. This decision proves to be fateful, as the mission transports Kazami, Hiroto, and two other players, May and Parviz, to the world of Eldora. There, they form the team BUILD DiVERS, with Kazami immediately appointing himself as its leader.

His role in the story is that of the emotional core and a major catalyst for the team's formation, though he struggles to fill the leadership role effectively at first. His primary motivation evolves from a shallow desire for personal fame to a genuine sense of responsibility. As the team faces repeated battles against the automated drone forces known as the One-Eyes on Eldora, the consequences of his recklessness become clear, forcing him to re-evaluate his approach. The need to protect the people of Eldora and his own teammates gradually overshadows his selfish ambitions.

Key relationships are central to his development. His dynamic with Hiroto Kuga is the most significant; it begins with friction, as Kazami's impulsive nature clashes with Hiroto's more calculating and dismissive demeanor. Over time, through shared hardship, this relationship evolves into one of mutual respect. Kazami learns to trust Hiroto's strategic mind, even seeking out his technical expertise to help with Gunpla adjustments.

Kazami's character development is the most pronounced in the series, transforming him from a liability into a dependable leader. After reflecting on his failures, he undergoes a fundamental shift in his fighting philosophy. In Season 2, he abandons his reckless, offensive-minded style to become the defensive shield for his team. His fighting style becomes protective and tactical, focusing on defending his allies and the people of Eldora rather than chasing personal accolades. This maturity culminates in his acceptance as the genuine leader of BUILD DiVERS, a role he had previously claimed but never truly earned.

His notable abilities are directly tied to his Gunpla and its upgrades, which serve as a physical representation of his growth. He initially pilots the ZGMF-X19AK Gundam Justice Knight, a customized unit based on the ∞ Justice Gundam. As its name suggests, the Justice Knight has a knightly theme with a focus on enhanced defensive abilities. Its main armament is the KT-E03R Raitei Shot Lancer, a versatile weapon for both long and close-range combat, supplemented by a Galatine Long Sword and a Circle Shield.

In Season 2, his growth is symbolized by the creation of a new Gunpla, the GAT-X303K Gundam Aegis Knight. Based on the Aegis Gundam, this unit pushes the concept of defense to a wide-area level, allowing him to protect the entire team. The Aegis Knight retains a transformation gimmick, shifting into High-Speed Cruising Mode and Assault Combat Mode. Its armaments are upgraded versions of his previous gear, including the KT-E05R Raitei Shot Lancer Kai and the new AS-1215 Aegis Shield. His most powerful technique is the KT-HBS06GW Keraunos Hyper Beam Sword, which can only be used when the Aegis Knight shifts into King Mode. This mode combines the shield, lance, and side skirt armor to generate a colossal beam saber of devastating power, which he uses not just for offense but to block massive enemy attacks, demonstrating his new role as the team's ultimate protector. Furthermore, the Aegis Knight serves as the upper body and arm components for the team's final combined form, the Re:Rising Gundam.
