Ray Chase is an American voice actor known for his extensive work in anime dubs, animation, and video games. Born Ray Chaifetz on May 20, 1987, in Freehold Borough, New Jersey, he grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada, and developed an early interest in performance. He later moved to Los Angeles to study at the University of Southern California, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from the School of Dramatic Arts in 2009.

Chase began building his career in voice acting by narrating audiobooks, recording over two hundred titles in a short period, and auditioning for roles through online platforms. This foundational work led to his entry into the anime and video game industries, where his versatility quickly became apparent. His first major break in video games came with the leading role of Noctis Lucis Caelum in the critically acclaimed Final Fantasy XV, a performance that brought him widespread recognition.

In the realm of anime, Chase has portrayed a wide array of characters across numerous popular series. He is well known for his role as the flamboyant and powerful Tengen Uzui in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, the mafia capo Bruno Bucciarati in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind, and both the King of Curses Ryomen Sukuna and his brother Choso in Jujutsu Kaisen. His filmography includes the cunning Fyodor Dostoyevsky in Bungo Stray Dogs, the eccentric majordomo Roswaal L. Mathers in Re:Zero - Starting Life in Another World, the hero Yuu Otosaka in Charlotte, and the Puri-Puri Prisoner in One Punch Man. He has also voiced Howzer across multiple entries in The Seven Deadly Sins franchise, Professor Cerise in Pokémon Journeys: The Series, and Helper T Cell in Cells at Work!. His role as Atsumu Yukiatsu Matsuyuki in anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day and as Masamune Gotou in March comes in like a lion are also notable parts of his anime career. In the video game industry, in addition to his iconic turn as Noctis, Chase has voiced leading characters such as the protagonist in NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139..., Alphen in Tales of Arise, and Neuvillette in Genshin Impact. He has also lent his voice to major franchises like Fire Emblem, Kingdom Hearts, and Super Smash Bros. His performance as Eve in Nier: Automata earned him a Behind The Voice Actors Award for Best Male Vocal Performance in a Supporting Role in 2018.

Chase is also a co-founder of the video game company Sassy Chap Games, which he started with fellow voice actor Robbie Daymond in 2018. He served as lead designer, narrative designer, and voice director for their debut project, the dating sim Date Everything!, released in 2025.
