Description
Tobikichi Usahara, a 28-year-old performer on the children’s show *Together with Maman*, embodies the rabbit mascot Usao-kun with relentless cheer, peppering dialogue with playful tics like "hippity" and "hoppity." Off-camera, his brusque, tactless manner strains workplace rapport, yet enduring ties to university seniors Uramichi Omota and Mitsuo Kumatani anchor his social circle. Chronically cash-strapped, he squanders earnings on gambling, relying on Uramichi and Kumatani for repeated rent bailouts—a hedonistic streak cementing his role as the Id within their Freudian dynamic, counterbalancing Uramichi’s Ego and Kumatani’s Super Ego.

Beneath his recklessness lies latent discipline: a competitive high-jump past and unwavering dedication to his on-screen role, executed without protest. His dyed-blond hair, remnants of a college-era full dye job, contrasts natural dark strands. Interactions with Uramichi oscillate between barbed critiques—fueled by Usahara’s gossipy tendencies—and weekend rituals reinforcing their decade-long bond. Kumatani, though prone to withholding pivotal information, shares an unshakable loyalty with Usahara despite exacerbating his misfortunes.

Prone to slapstick victimization by peers for his cowardice and bluntness, Usahara intermittently acknowledges his social and financial shortcomings. His dynamic with Uramichi weaves fear, resentment, and authentic camaraderie, a tapestry of contradictions shaped by years of shared history.
