Description
Goldov Auora is a central figure in the narrative as one of the seven warriors summoned to confront the revived Evil God. At only sixteen years old, he holds the distinguished position of head of the Black Horns Knights, an elite order serving the kingdom of Piena. His reputation precedes him as one of the strongest fighters in the land, a claim supported by the fact that his princess, Nashetania Loei Piena Augustra, admitted her victory over him in the previous year's martial arts tournament was only because Goldov intentionally held back.

Goldov cuts an imposing figure, being tall and slender with dark hair and a perpetually stern expression. He wears heavy black armor and carries a formidable spear linked to his gauntlet by a thick chain. His most distinctive piece of equipment is his helmet, a holy weapon known as the Helm of Truth, which is adorned with two curved black horns that mimic those of a ram. This helmet was bestowed upon him as a reward for winning the kingdom's tournament at the age of fourteen, making him the youngest champion in history. Beyond its fearsome appearance, the Helm of Truth creates a mystical bond between Goldov and his chosen master, Nashetania. This connection allows them to communicate over distances and alerts Goldov if his princess ever falls into danger or is captured.

The public image of a talented and honorable knight stands in stark contrast to Goldov's hidden origins. He was born the son of a petty thief and a prostitute, spending the first ten years of his life as a street urchin in a squalid port town on the western edge of Piena. From a very young age, Goldov was unnaturally strong, fast, and resilient, possessing the raw instincts of a born fighter without any training or desire for combat. This innate power was a curse rather than a gift. He was subject to terrifying and uncontrollable fits of black rage; once ignited, this fury would not subside until everyone around him was dead or broken. By the age of four, he had killed a stray dog with a single swing. At seven, he accidentally shattered another boy's arm during a scuffle, and later that same year, he brutally defeated a gang of nine older children who ambushed him, leaving two of them permanently crippled. At eight years old, he killed a man for the first time, snapping his neck after the man had beaten his father. This explosive violence made him a pariah. Everyone in his town, from adults to other children, avoided him out of sheer terror, believing that any interaction could lead to senseless death. Even his own father, after a violent argument, fled in fear and never returned. Goldov grew up believing that the world did not want him and that he was incapable of a normal life.

This profound isolation came to an end when he was ten years old. The princess of Piena, fleeing a tyrannical king and his soldiers, crossed his path. Goldov fell in love with Nashetania at first sight, not knowing who she was. In a characteristic burst of uncontrollable violence, he single-handedly assaulted a building full of guards to rescue her. After this bloody rescue, he was taken in and recruited into the ranks of the Black Horns Knights, who remained loyal to the princess. He was given a fabricated noble lineage and a new name, and was taught to read, write, and adopt proper manners. For the first time, someone had given him a place to belong, and that someone was Nashetania. She became the sole person capable of calming his inner storm and halting his rampages, acting as the only leash on his destructive impulses.

Goldovs defining personality trait is his absolute and unwavering devotion to Nashetania. He is unfailingly polite and speaks to her with extreme formality, but beneath this knightly decorum lies a fierce protectiveness that borders on obsession. Outside of combat, he is typically calm and stoic, but this silence masks a hair-trigger readiness. He will not hesitate to attack anyone he perceives as a potential threat to his princess, and his combat prowess only intensifies when she is in danger. This extreme loyalty is the core of his motivation. Everything he does, from his duties as a knight to his mission as a Brave of the Six Flowers, is filtered through his need to serve and protect Nashetania. In the story, his primary role is that of a bodyguard and a loyal soldier, but his deep, unrequited love for the princess adds a layer of personal tragedy to his character. He is frequently seen as her shadow, seldom acting on his own initiative and always positioning himself to be of service to her.

Goldovs key relationships are almost exclusively defined by his connection to Nashetania. She is the center of his world, and his interactions with the other Braves, including the protagonist Adlet Mayer, are often shallow or openly hostile, driven by his suspicion of anyone who might threaten or lead his princess astray. While his past suggests a capacity for immense cruelty, Nashetania has given him a sense of purpose and a reason to direct his strength towards a noble cause.

As a fighter, Goldov is a prodigy blessed with supernatural speed, strength, and a highly durable body. He specializes in heavy spear combat, using the chain attached to his weapon for versatile attacks, grappling, or extending his reach. He is genuinely one of the most powerful of the Braves, a living weapon whose dark past has forged him into a nearly unstoppable guardian. His character development is slow to manifest, largely tied to the central mystery of the seventh traitor, and many of the deeper layers of his personality are more fully explored in the source material beyond the anime adaptation.
