Ricardo Bautista

Description
Ricardo Bautista is a Mexican actor and director of dubbing, primarily known for his work in the Latin American Spanish localization of anime, films, and television series. He was born on January 11, 1979, in Mexico City. Bautista studied acting at La Capilla Británica and has accumulated over two decades of experience in voice dubbing, in addition to working in commercial voiceover.

His entry into the world of dubbing was facilitated by fellow actor Luis Alfonso Mendoza, who encouraged him to take courses at his dubbing school. This led to Mendoza recommending him for various projects, allowing Bautista to learn and build a career in the industry. Beyond performing, he has also taken on roles as a dubbing director.

Bautista has lent his voice to a wide array of characters in anime for the Latin American market. Among his notable roles are Yuri Briar in the Spanish dub of Spy x Family. He is also the voice of Vanitas in The Case Study of Vanitas, a role recorded at VSI Mexico City under the direction of Alejandra Delint. His other significant anime dubbing credits include Subaru Natsuki in Re:Zero -Starting Life in Another World-, Rex Owen in Dinosaur King (known as Dino Rey in some regions), and Chazz Princeton in Yu-Gi-Oh! GX. He also provided the voice for Barry in the Pokémon anime.

In addition to his work in Japanese animation, Bautista is a prolific voice actor for live-action content. He is widely recognized as the official Latin American Spanish dubbing voice for actors Nick Jonas and James Maslow. His extensive filmography includes dubbing roles for films such as Jumanji: The Next Level, Midway, and The Father of the Bride. He has also voiced characters in animated franchises like How to Train Your Dragon, where he is the official voice of Fishlegs Ingerman, and as Michelangelo in the 2012 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series.
