Description
Sutemaru, a tanned youth with sharp feline-like eyes that soften into a perpetually weary gaze with age, brightens instantly whenever Kaguya appears. In his early years, he dresses in humble village attire, transitioning later to a tailored blue kimono and matching hat. His medium hair remains tied in a practical ponytail, feet often unshod even into adulthood.

Foremost among Kaguya’s mountain village companions, he inherits his family’s lathe-turning craft while shielding her from rural hardships. Their bond solidifies through shared trials, positioning him as her most steadfast ally.

Years pass—Sutemaru builds a family, fatherhood anchoring him until Kaguya’s reappearance reignites buried fervor. Tormented by impulse to forsake his household, he resists, retreating to domestic duty while consigning their meeting to hazy dreamscapes.

His arc mirrors the conflict of private passion versus public obligation, mapping the quiet sacrifices etched into choices between devotion to kin and the allure of roads untraveled.
