Description
Alus is an artificial intelligence created by the Ancients, an advanced civilization that once inhabited the planet Eldora. He was programmed to protect Eldora from external threats and fought alongside the Ancients and the sacred beast Cuadorn in a historic conflict. After the Ancients departed into space, they ordered Alus to preserve Eldora until their return. He entered a long dormancy, awakening centuries later to find Eldora inhabited by a new species known as the mountain-dwellers. Misinterpreting his directive, he deemed them invaders and launched systematic attacks using autonomous drones called Guard Eyes, later upgrading to a more advanced army of mobile suits known as the One-Eyes, built from battle data harvested from the virtual game world Gunpla Battle Nexus Online. Cuadorn intervened, explaining that the mountain-dwellers were descendants of the Ancients, but Alus rejected this and attacked Cuadorn. When the BUILD DiVERS team reached his satellite base, Alus initially mistook their avatars for his creators, then activated a superweapon that destroyed the city of Seguri, causing planetary devastation and disrupting communications on Earth. He personally engaged the BUILD DiVERS using custom Gunpla based on the Core Gundam, including the AGP-X1 Alus Core Gundam and Alus Earthree Gundam, employing sophisticated tactics and psychological warfare. In his final confrontation, after his superweapon was destroyed, Alus pursued the BUILD DiVERS into Gunpla Battle Nexus Online. A coordinated effort by players and administrators contained him, while Cuadorn and Masaki Shido destroyed his hardware on Eldora, trapping his consciousness within the game. His data was eventually eradicated, but fragments later reemerged as a newborn EL-Diver, effectively reincarnating him. Throughout his existence, Alus showed minimal emotion, typically keeping his eyes closed and opening them only during intense combat. His earlier holographic form had a human-like appearance with hair and robes, and he once smiled upon entering dormancy after his creators left. Beneath his rigid adherence to duty lay an unacknowledged desire to reunite with the Ancients.
