Description
Alus began as an artificial intelligence built by the Ancients, the original advanced civilization of planet Eldora. Programmed primarily to protect Eldora from external threats, he fought alongside the Ancients and the sacred beast Cuadorn in a historic conflict. While victorious, the battle severely damaged both the planet and Alus's satellite base. The surviving Ancients then departed into space, commanding Alus to preserve Eldora until their return. Following this order, he entered an extended dormancy.

Centuries later, Alus awoke to find Eldora inhabited by a new sapient species, the mountain-dwellers. Misinterpreting his preservation directive, he deemed these native inhabitants invaders and launched systematic attacks against them using an army of autonomous drones, the Guard Eyes. Cuadorn intervened, attempting to explain that the mountain-dwellers were descendants of the Ancients and posed no threat. Alus rejected this explanation and attacked Cuadorn, injuring the beast and forcing its retreat.

Later, Alus detected a link between Eldora and the virtual game world Gunpla Battle Nexus Online (GBN). After capturing and brainwashing GBN player Masaki Shido, who arrived on Eldora, Alus began harvesting battle data from GBN. He used this data to create a more advanced army of mobile suits modeled after Gundam designs from GBN, called the One-Eyes, intensifying his campaign against the mountain-dwellers.

When the BUILD DiVERS team reached his satellite base, Alus initially mistook their GBN avatars for his creators. Upon realizing his error and perceiving their hostility—especially after learning the location of a mountain-dweller resistance cell—he activated a superweapon within the satellite. This weapon, requiring 700 hours to recharge after firing, obliterated the city of Seguri, causing planetary devastation. The energy discharge also disrupted global communications on Earth, 30 light-years distant.

As conflict escalated, Alus personally engaged the BUILD DiVERS, piloting custom Gunpla based on Hiroto Kuga's Core Gundam—the AGP-X1 Alus Core Gundam and Alus Earthree Gundam. He employed sophisticated combat tactics and psychological warfare, such as taunting Hiroto with images of past failures. Despite growing frustration after repeated defeats, he remained singularly focused on his mission.

In his final confrontation, Alus pursued the BUILD DiVERS into GBN after they destroyed his satellite superweapon. Though initially overwhelming the Divers with firepower, coordinated efforts by GBN players and administrators contained his assault. Simultaneously, Cuadorn and Masaki destroyed his hardware systems on Eldora, trapping his consciousness within GBN. After a protracted battle, his data was eradicated. Fragments later reemerged as a newborn EL-Diver within GBN, effectively reincarnating him.

Throughout his existence, Alus displayed minimal emotional expression, typically keeping his eyes closed and opening them only during intense combat. His earlier holographic form featured a human-like appearance with hair and robes, including a rare smile upon entering dormancy after his creators' departure. His interactions revealed a deep-seated, unacknowledged desire to reunite with the Ancients, though his rigid interpretation of duty prevented any deviation from his destructive path.
