Description
Elsa Granhiert, known as the Bowel Hunter, Spider Woman, or Vampire, originated in the harsh, cold nation of Gusteko. Abandoned as a child due to the nation's extreme wealth disparity, she survived by drinking dirty water and stealing, never questioning her existence or happiness. A pivotal moment occurred when a shopkeeper she robbed attempted to assault her; during the struggle, she killed him with a shard of glass. The warmth of his blood and entrails gave her a first experience of happiness, leading her to pursue this sensation as a serial killer alongside figures like the Carnivorous Beast.

A powerful Gustekan magician, Holosseo Featherrun, later transformed her into a unique Curse Doll. This granted Elsa regenerative abilities while she retained her sense of self. Holosseo ordered the Featherrun sisters—Elsa, Ornea, and Sithonia—to kill each other. Elsa killed Sithonia after Sithonia poisoned Ornea, and she nearly killed Ornea, reducing her to an infantile mental state. Elsa entrusted Ornea's care to Oliver Zeppes, displaying a rare soft spot for them both. She subsequently killed Holosseo. Her eccentric nature attracted "Mother," later revealed as the Sin Archbishop of Lust, Capella Emerada Lugunica, who took Elsa in as one of her "children." Elsa accepted this role to protect Ornea and Oliver after Capella threatened their lives.

Elsa became an assassin for Mother, undertaking missions across multiple arcs. In Gusteko, she collaborated with Nora and Viktor Orcos to free slaves in the Orcos Domain, defeating the corrupt noble Igor Kenash. She allowed Viktor to die when he was mortally wounded, however, leading Nora to swear revenge. Elsa also clashed with Cecilus Segmunt, one of the Nine Divine Generals, managing to kill her target despite being overwhelmed by his strength.

Her regenerative capabilities define her combat prowess. As a Curse Doll, she heals injuries like broken bones or deep cuts in seconds, though fatal wounds consume life force. Excessive regeneration risks turning her into a mindless undead driven solely by killing instincts. She wields kukri blades, iron skewers, and boots with concealed heel blades. Her cloak nullifies magic once, and she later acquired specialized weapons: the White Blade for crushing bones and extending mid-range attacks, and the Black Blade for goring opponents. She demonstrates superhuman physicality, including Sub-Relativistic combat speed, Class K lifting strength, and Mountain-level durability. Her fighting style leverages acrobatics, extrasensory perception to detect killing intent, precognition to counter previously seen techniques, and instinctive action for seamless combat transitions. She feels no pain or fatigue, granting infinite stamina, and emits an aura that induces a burning sensation in others.

Elsa's relationships are complex. She discovered Meili Portroute surrounded by demon beasts and brought her to Mother, treating her like a sister. She taught Meili language and practical skills and showed concern when Meili was endangered during Roswaal Manor's collapse. Roswaal L. Mathers hired her in Arcs 1 and 4; he provided her magic-negating cloak and intel, and she regarded him as someone she "wanted to gut the least." In Arc 1, she targeted Felt and Emilia for the Dragon Insignia, killing Felt in failed timelines and wounding Rom. She encountered Natsuki Subaru in the loot house, where he thwarted her mission, leading her to inflict a severe abdominal wound. Subaru later caused four of her deaths across loops, including gouging his eye in one instance. She considered him and Emilia among those she "wanted to gut the most." In Arc 4, hired to assassinate Beatrice, Frederica Baumann, and Petra Leyte, she succeeded against Beatrice in some loops and engaged Frederica in combat. Garfiel Tinzel intervened, overwhelming her with his ferocity; she shared her backstory with him before he defeated her. She expressed bliss at her impending death and deemed him someone she "wanted to gut the least."

Her final known confrontation occurred in Roswaal Manor's burning ruins. After Garfiel shattered her body, her reanimated corpse hunted Subaru until a backdraft explosion incinerated her.
