Description
Sasha Braus grew up in Dauper, a village within Wall Rose's southern territory. Raised by her father amid famine following Wall Maria's fall, she learned hunting and survival skills, becoming proficient with a bow and arrow. Food scarcity fostered a compulsive appetite and food-hoarding habits that defined her later military persona.

Initially embarrassed by her rural roots, Sasha hid her Kyushu dialect and accent, adopting formal speech. She displayed timidity under pressure and social insecurity, often deferring to peers like Ymir or mimicking others. Her cadet career began when she stole and ate a potato during initiation, earning the nickname "Potato Girl" and resulting in punishment, establishing her trademark gluttony.

Ranking 9th in the 104th Cadet Corps, Sasha joined the Survey Corps. Early missions revealed combat shortcomings, including a near-fatal error in Trost where Mikasa Ackermann saved her from a Titan. Despite initial struggles with teamwork and stress, her sharp intuition and situational awareness proved valuable, such as recognizing the Female Titan's cries as distress signals.

Significant development occurred during the Clash of the Titans arc. Returning to Dauper, she used her archery skills to rescue a girl, Kaya, from a Titan, reconnecting with her heritage and openly embracing her dialect. This act symbolized growing self-acceptance and courage. Kaya was later adopted by Sasha’s father.

Sasha transitioned to a sniper role, wielding rifles in conflicts like the Liberio raid. She showed increased combat efficiency against soldiers but maintained moral boundaries, refusing to shoot child combatants like Gabi Braun. Her personality balanced professionalism with persistent food-centric optimism. Her bond with Marleyan chef Niccolo exemplified this; his worldview shifted through her genuine appreciation for his cooking.

Sasha died from a gunshot wound inflicted by Gabi Braun during the Scouts' retreat from Liberio. Bleeding out aboard an airship, her final word was "meat." Posthumously, she appeared as a mirage to Connie and Jean. Her legacy included inspiring Kaya’s aspirations and strengthening Niccolo’s rejection of violence through culinary passion.
