Description
Azuki is the eldest of the catgirl sisters in the Minaduki household, a distinction that comes with a complex and often contradictory personality. Despite her seniority, her physical appearance is notably youthful and petite. Standing at only 142 centimeters tall, her small stature is a source of a deep-seated complex, and any mention of her short legs is a surefire way to earn her ire. She has brown, neck-length hair styled into small twin tails on either side of her head, secured by cat-themed hair clips, and her brown eyes feature the slit pupils common to her kind. Her striped tail is a characteristic feature, and her typical casual attire consists of a sailor-style white sleeveless shirt with a blue collar and a red ascot, paired with a blue pleated skirt. She also wears a red choker from which a small gold bell hangs.

Azuki's personality is a study in contrasts, fitting the archetype of a tsundere. She is famously brash, outspoken, and unafraid to use crude language, often presenting a lazy front and complaining that most tasks are a nuisance. This attitude frequently leads to arguments with her sisters, most notably the tall and gentle Coconut, with whom she shares a particularly volatile relationship. However, this tough exterior masks a deeply responsible and caring nature. As the eldest, Azuki often acts as a supervisor, especially when the sisters help run the patisserie La Soleil. Her primary internal struggle is an inability to openly express her emotions or her true desires, which she hides behind a wall of sarcasm and irritability. Despite her frequent fights, she genuinely cares for her family's well-being and makes a point to check on them after a disagreement, proving her concern runs deeper than her words suggest.

Throughout the story, Azuki's role is largely defined by her position as the responsible, if reluctant, eldest sister. Her central challenge is learning to be more honest with herself and others. Both Coconut and the more reserved Vanilla have shown an ability to see through her tsundere facade, often forcing her to confront her true feelings. Her journey involves a conscious effort to become more emotionally open, a development that notably reduces the number of conflicts she has with her sisters. A significant part of this growth occurs in her relationship with Kashou, the human owner of La Soleil, whom she is one of the first catgirls to address by his given name rather than "Master". As she becomes more honest about her feelings for him and her place in the family, her character softens.

While her attitude may suggest otherwise, Azuki is quite capable. She demonstrates surprising competence in various skills, particularly in the kitchen, and is proud of her culinary abilities. She is not suited for physical labor, but she can handle almost any other task when properly motivated. One of her most notable weaknesses is her susceptibility to food, especially snacks like tuna. Her human caretaker, Shigure, has been known to use this vulnerability as a disciplinary tool, a tactic Azuki dramatically perceives as a form of torture. Her development is most prominently featured in her dynamic with Coconut, where their chaotic, argumentative relationship gradually gives way to mutual trust and understanding, culminating in a more bonded and supportive sisterhood.
