Born Quirkless into a wealthy family, Yuga Aoyama developed an inferiority complex. Fearing discrimination and wanting to support his dream of becoming a hero, his parents contacted All For One, who granted him the Navel Laser Quirk. This act bound the Aoyama family to All For One's will under threat of death, forcing Yuga into the role of an unwilling double agent at U.A. High School. He cultivated an extravagant, flamboyant persona as "Can't Stop Twinkling," frequently using French phrases, posing dramatically, and seeking attention, often clashing with reserved classmates. This behavior masked deep-seated insecurities and guilt over his Quirk's origin and betrayal. He struggled socially, often eating alone and avoiding interactions, fearing he was unworthy of friendship. Despite this, his perceptiveness surfaced when recognizing Ochaco Uraraka's feelings for Izuku Midoriya. His Navel Laser Quirk fires powerful beams capable of penetrating concrete. Prolonged use caused intestinal distress, exacerbated by his body's incompatibility with the artificially granted power, requiring a specialized support belt for control. Training at U.A. improved his management, developing techniques like propelling himself with recoil or adjusting beam size for versatility. His combat style emphasized ranged support, lacking close-combat skills. The Paranormal Liberation War arc and All For One's prison break intensified Yuga's fear and guilt. He confessed to being the U.A. traitor, revealing his family's coercion. Despite expecting rejection, his classmates and Shota Aizawa acknowledged him as a victim, offering forgiveness and support. Yuga then aided in deceiving All For One, participating in a counterattack during the final war. He confronted All For One alongside Izuku, declaring his resolve to end the villain's reign. In the film *My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising*, Yuga participated in Class 1-A's mission to protect Nabu Island. He fought alongside Minoru Mineta and Toru Hagakure against the villain Mummy, later assisting Momo Yaoyorozu in bombarding Nine's group with his Navel Laser to separate them. Following the war, Yuga voluntarily left U.A. to atone, though permitted to stay. He re-enrolled in a hero program, eventually becoming a Pro Hero. Eight years later, he worked as a sidekick for Toru Hagakure and maintained friendships with his former classmates, joining them in celebrations like Shoto Todoroki's rise to No. 2 Hero.
