Description
Kazan, a devoted follower originating from the future alongside Yuuki, first appears in *Battle Spirits Shonen Gekiha Dan*. He undertakes missions under Yuuki's command, including an attempt to seize control of Zungurii's village. During this mission, he captures Magisa but falls to Dan in a card duel, resulting in the village's liberation. Mocked by his peers for this loss, Kazan remains unswervingly loyal to Yuuki.

His dedication persists even as Yuuki's methods grow ruthless. Kazan participates in significant events, overseeing the construction of the red horizon ladder and witnessing the core soldiers' efforts to free enslaved Otherworlders. He physically intervenes during a confrontation with Mai, resulting in his incapacitation by her attack. Later, he observes Dan's tournament duel against Brustom, which ends with Dan's defeat and deck confiscation. Kazan volunteers his own deck for Dan's subsequent duel against Magical Crown, though Yuuki interrupts the match.

A pivotal shift occurs when Yuuki allies with Dan and the core soldiers against the Otherworld King. Kazan maintains his loyalty, motivated by Yuuki's resemblance to his former captain. He reinforces Yuuki's decision by presenting him with a new card from their shared past, symbolizing his endorsement of Yuuki's change in allegiance.

In *Battle Spirits Brave*, Kazan ascends to leadership as humanity's forces chief, succeeding Zolder Grave at his request. Operating from a command position, he abstains from direct combat. His most significant action involves facilitating Dan's arrival in the future to aid humanity's struggle against the Mazoku threat.

Kazan employs a purple deck throughout both series, aligning with his attire and characterized by occult and demonic themes. Key spirits include Skulldemon, Hellscorpio, Skulldevil, and Humpdump. His battle record notes only a single loss against Dan in their initial encounter.
