Description
General Takeda, chief of Japan's Defense Force, staunchly opposes employing children as pilots for powerful defense robots, believing this duty belongs solely to adults. This conviction drives him to attempt seizing control of Raijin-Oh from the Earth Defense Class in Episode 2 of *Matchless Raijin-Oh*. However, the Raijin medals prove responsive only to their designated child pilots, forcing him to reluctantly permit their continued operation.

His character persists consistently across the Eldran series sequels. In *Energetic Explosion Ganbaruger*, now serving as Japan's defense secretary in Aozora City, he battles Demon World Beasts unaware that the Ganba Team children, concealing their identities due to a curse, are the actual pilots of Ganbaruger. His daughter, Katsura Takeda, attends the same school as these pilots.

One year later in *Hot-Blooded Strongest Go-Saurer*, Takeda immediately identifies the newly appeared dinosaur robots as Eldran's creations and orders Go-Saurer confined for analysis. When adults, including himself, attempt piloting during an attack, the machines lose power upon their intervention. Witnessing the children's effectiveness and the system's inherent reliance on them, he relents, allowing them to operate Go-Saurer. His defense force subsequently coordinates with these child pilots during mechanization beast attacks in Harukaze City.

General Takeda features in all three main Eldran series installments. He maintains his stern demeanor and initial opposition to child pilots throughout each series, yet demonstrates pragmatism by accepting their indispensable role after witnessing their unique capabilities firsthand.
