Description
Lynn, born Rin Midorikawa, is a young Anglo-Japanese girl with wavy blonde hair and a predominantly English appearance. She lived in Japan with her mother and grandparents until her mother died shielding her in a car accident; the full truth of this event was later revealed by Baroness Magdalene. Holding her mother's keepsake, the Lady's Key, Lynn vowed to persevere in her promise to become a "true Lady."

Following her mother's death, she moved to England to live with her father. His busy work schedule, dedicated to reclaiming their family estate, The Marble Mansion, often leaves her lonely, yet she remains determined to uphold her promise. She initially resided separately from her elder half-sister, Sarah Frances Russell, at their grandfather's Woburn Castle. Later, she lives at Montgomery Mansion under the care of Countess Isabel Montgomery.

Enrolling at age eight as a first-year student at Saint Patrick Academy, a distinguished school known for horse riding, Lynn joined the equestrian club. There she formed a significant bond with an unruly Arabian horse named Andrews, previously ridden by Vivian Spencer. This connection draws attention and some envy from schoolmates, particularly those competing for the prestigious Lady Crest award.

Lynn evolves through various challenges, demonstrating naivete and enduring trust—such as initially believing in the goodwill of former rival Mary despite past conflicts. She gradually develops resilience, notably in training Andrews, who harbors a fear of squirrels, and navigates complex school dynamics. She forms a sister-like relationship with Sophie Montgomery, initially manipulated by Sophie's schemes but eventually helping Sophie confront her own familial struggles.

Romantic developments include an innocent admiration for Arthur Brighton and a deeper, unresolved connection with his younger brother Edward Philip Brighton, her childhood friend. Edward's repeated attempts to express his feelings remain inconclusive.

Her core traits are cheerfulness, empathy, and a strong sense of sacrifice for her family's well-being. She frequently recalls her mother's guidance during difficult moments, reinforcing her commitment to embodying the virtues of a true Lady: Merciful, Courageous, and Noble—principles engraved on a golden heart-shaped locket given by her father.
