TV-Series
Description
Azusa Asahina is the sixth son of the Asahina family and one of the triplets, born on December 31, making him 24 years old at the start of the story. As the second oldest of the triplets, his identical brothers are Tsubaki, the eldest triplet, and Natsume, the youngest. Standing at 176 centimeters tall, Azusa has short, straight violet hair and violet eyes, and he is consistently seen wearing glasses. He works as a professional voice actor, a career he shares with his brother Tsubaki.

In terms of personality, Azusa is the calm and collected counterpart to his more excitable triplet, Tsubaki. He is known for his common sense, mature demeanor, and relaxed attitude, often acting as a brake or a voice of reason to keep Tsubaki's impulsive tendencies in check. He is intelligent and handles situations with a level-headedness that makes him appear reliable and trustworthy, to the point where the protagonist Ema feels he is like a real older brother. Despite this composed exterior, Azusa is not without his complexities. He is a person who gets bored easily with tasks, even though he can excel at them, and he harbors a quiet but deep attachment to Tsubaki, which borders on obsession. He is honest about his reliance on Tsubaki and expresses a desire to become more independent and find his own passion. While he generally acts kindly, he has a mischievous or "pretty black" side, particularly in his interactions with Natsume.

Azusa's primary motivation stems from his relationship with his triplet brothers. He followed Tsubaki into the voice acting profession because Tsubaki asked him to, rather than out of his own burning ambition. This has led him to feel that he cannot match Tsubaki's enthusiasm for their work, and a key part of his personal journey is discovering his own drive and passion for his career, a process that is accelerated by his growing feelings for the protagonist. His role in the story is largely defined by his position as the sensible, stabilizing force among the brothers. He is a confidant for Ema, listening seriously to her concerns, and serves as a foil to the more dramatic and forward actions of his other brothers. He eventually confesses his feelings to Ema, marking a significant step in his personal development.

Azusa's key relationships are most prominently with his triplet brothers. His bond with Tsubaki is the most defining aspect of his life; he admits that the most important thing to him is Tsubaki, and his hobbies and holiday activities often involve cleaning Tsubaki's room. In contrast, his relationship with Natsume is more complex, as he tends to leave the consequences of any trouble Tsubaki causes for Natsume to handle and enjoys playing pranks on him. His relationship with the protagonist, Ema, allows him to explore a different side of himself, moving beyond his identity as part of a pair and developing his own independent desires. His character development is subtle but significant. Initially presented as a talented but passive genius who relies heavily on his brother, he begins to confront his lack of personal ambition. A notable example from the novel version involves him pushing himself too hard in his voice acting work, leading to a collapse, which forces both him and Tsubaki to reevaluate their co-dependent relationship. This event helps lead to a reconciliation and a healthier dynamic between the twins.

Regarding notable abilities, Azusa is a highly skilled and talented voice actor, with acting abilities that are often said to surpass those of his brother Tsubaki. His common sense and calm judgment are also notable abilities that allow him to manage the chaotic energy of his large family. In addition to his professional skills, he possesses a private pilot's license, which he obtained in January 2006.
