OVA
Description
Sarasa Honda serves in the Lime Unit (Raimu Unit), a team of Konjiki-empowered teenage girls based aboard the flying battleship Amanohara during the 1904 Russo-Japanese War. Hailing from wealth, she exhibits a pronounced fascination with Western culture, frequently acquiring and using items she believes are Western imports—though many originate in Osaka. This includes attire like an Ao Dai, mistaken by her for Western fashion.

Her personality displays overconfidence and a prima donna attitude, often acting brashly to mask insecurities and vulnerabilities. She conceals shortcomings, such as an inability to make origami cranes, by professing a Western preference for alternative crafts like doll-making. She owns a dog named Antionette Gandhi XIII, commonly called Angie.

In combat, Sarasa pilots the blue unmanned mecha Taiga (Lime/Raimu), wielding a pole-arm or lance. Her role involves direct engagement against enemy forces led by Grigori Rasputin’s Russian Spiritual Corps. Her actions during missions have led to critical situations, including an incident where Lieutenant Commander Date sacrificed his life to protect her from an enemy attack.

Sarasa develops romantic feelings for Shintaro Umakai, the unit’s teacher and commander, revealing emotional vulnerability beneath her assertive demeanor. During a temporary respite from combat in the OVA *Lime-iro Senkitan: The South Island Dream Romantic Adventure*, when the Amanohara lands on an island for repairs, she participates in a local festival and actively competes with other Lime Unit members to gain Shintaro’s attention, highlighting her persistent romantic interest and desire for validation amidst lighter, comedic scenarios.
