Description
Akubon serves as a high-ranking lieutenant commanding forces under the Black King (Buraiking Boss) in a mechanized army. In the 1993 OVA, he spearheads operations to crush human resistance, capturing freedom fighter Luna Kozuki and orchestrates her public execution as a psychological tactic to destabilize survivors. This scheme collapses when Casshan intervenes, leading to Akubon’s demise in combat.

His OVA design modernizes the 1973 original, trading comedic elements for a sharper, more threatening visage marked by needle-like teeth and a sleek visor-like eye covering. The narrative repositions him among the Neoroids, a faction of eco-conscious androids purging humanity to restore Earth’s ecosystems under a twisted sense of duty to their creator’s environmental vision.

The 1973 series portrays Akubon as one of three absurdly designed lieutenants alongside Barashin and Sakagure, serving as comedic foils to Buraiking Boss. The OVA revises this dynamic, replacing Sakagure with the female android Sagria while retaining Akubon and Barashin as central adversaries. Though both iterations frame his loyalty to enforcing the Black King’s dominance, the OVA amplifies his menace through strategic cruelty, focusing on psychological warfare to break human morale.

No details exist about his origins, backstory, or expanded roles beyond these two core portrayals in films, spin-offs, or reboots.
