Chic is a human mercenary originally hired by Plana, Hiro's older sister, as part of a trio assigned to escort Hiro and ensure her absence during Chiffon's assassination of Demon Lord Janus. Following Janus' death and the outbreak of the Neverland War, Chic actively joins Hiro's forces within the Demon Army. In the OVA's second episode, he takes initiative to strengthen the Demon Army's weakened position by pursuing temporary alliances, approaching Azalea—leader of the forest elf land Pliesta—and negotiating with Orochimaru, leader of the island nation Muromachi, to secure support for the army's survival. Among the OVA's characters, Chic stands out as one of the few proactive and relatable figures. He, Hiro, and Sato are highlighted as primary characters driving significant actions and narrative contributions, contrasting with others who receive minimal development or early sidelining.
