Movie
Description
Nuts is a prince of the Palmier Kingdom who transforms between a squirrel-like fairy form and a human guise. As a fairy, he resembles a brown squirrel possessing dark brown eyes, a dark orange hair tuft, white neck fur, and a beige underside, frequently ending sentences with "~natts." In his human form, known as "Mr. Natsu," he presents with dirty blonde hair and tanned skin, typically wearing a russet brown vest over a dark pink long-sleeved shirt, a brown buckle belt, dark blue jeans, and brown boots. His older adult human form features slightly longer hair and a dark maroon jacket with brown and gold accents.
Serious and initially distrustful, Nuts is fiercely committed to honesty, often appearing blunt or sharp-tongued. This stems from deep guilt over inadvertently causing the Nightmare's invasion of the Palmier Kingdom; he opened the kingdom's passage to aid a seemingly injured creature that was actually an enemy agent. Forced to flee to the human world with his best friend Coco, Nuts shielded Coco from an attack, sustaining severe injuries that trapped him inside the Dream Collet. Freed by the Pretty Cure team, he struggled to rebuild trust, including with Coco, gradually softening through interactions, especially with Akimoto Komachi.
He operates Natts House, a jewelry shop serving as the Pretty Cure's secret base. Financial difficulties once led the shop to near ruin, causing Nuts to collapse from starvation before Komachi and others intervened. His bond with Komachi deepened when his critical review of her novel hurt her feelings; after a shared battle against Nightmare, he encouraged her to persevere, highlighting his internal conflict between honesty and empathy, though he consistently shows remorse when his words cause pain.
In *Yes! Pretty Cure 5 GoGo!*, Nuts and Coco become joint kings of the restored Palmier Kingdom. Nuts receives the kingdom's crown, granting him new powers to support Milky Rose and collaborate with Coco to aid the Pretty Cure. Years later, in *Kibou no Chikara ~Otona Pretty Cure '23~*, he remains king, actively handling political issues like a failed negotiation with the Donuts Kingdom. He investigates mysterious Time Flowers in the Cure Rose Garden, warning former Pretty Cure members about the dangers of transforming due to the flowers' sinister influence. Recognizing their resolve, particularly Kurumi's unwavering will, he permits one final transformation, concluding humanity's future holds hope as a Time Flower seed takes root.
In *Precure All Stars DX2*, Nuts appears in human form alongside Coco as a presenter at Fairy Park's event, showcasing the Rainbow Jewel, reflecting his integration into human society and support for the Pretty Cure. Throughout his journey, Nuts evolves from a traumatized, self-blaming individual into a responsible leader who values trust and protects others' hopes while upholding his principle of uncompromising truth.
