Description
Benjamin Sharif hails from Benares and trains as a pilot cadet in the 'Centezual' Aerial Division at Cadoques High on the floating island of Isla. Known for his calm, level-headed nature, his high academic performance is noted by Claire Cruz. Peers affectionately call him "Benji," a nickname especially favored by childhood friend and flying partner Sharon Morcoz. Their deep friendship blossoms into romance during their academy years.

During aerial operations, Benjamin volunteers for reconnaissance missions alongside Noriaki Kashiwabara, accepting the inherent risks. In episode 10, hesitation during a critical engagement prevents him from effectively engaging enemy aircraft, resulting in the loss of an allied spotter plane. A subsequent mission in episode 11 sees Benjamin severely injured when an explosion tears off his right arm. He prevents fatal blood loss by using Sharon's aviator scarf as an improvised tourniquet, honoring his promise to return to her alive. This sacrifice enables the successful destruction of an enemy battleship, achieved through vital scouting intelligence provided by Benjamin and Noriaki. Following recovery, he receives a prosthetic arm, allowing him to continue serving.

Benjamin Sharif's story underscores resilience in the face of physical trauma and the sustaining power of his bond with Sharon Morcoz throughout his military training and combat experiences.
