Description
Ariel Albus is the youngest daughter of Michael Albus and the third daughter in the Albus family. She possesses red hair and cyan eyes. Her adoptive brother, Kal-el Albus, was formerly Karl La Hire, crown prince of the Balsteros Empire, adopted by Michael after the monarchy's overthrow during the Wind Revolution. Both were nine years old at his adoption; Kal-el, born June 6, and Ariel, born June 7, making him older by one day. Despite this, they engaged in a perennial debate over seniority, with Ariel frequently asserting her greater maturity and calling Kal-el her younger brother. Initially unwelcoming when Kal-el joined the family, Ariel's attitude toward him shifted over time.

She enrolled alongside Kal-el in Cadoques High School's aerial division to train as a pilot. During training, she was partnered with the aloof Ignacio Axis, whom she nicknamed "Igna." Their interactions hinted at a gradual thawing of his reserve, though Ariel occasionally found his quiet nature frustrating. Known for her spirited nature, she often had heated exchanges with Kal-el, especially regarding their sibling hierarchy.

A pivotal moment occurred defending Isla in episode 8. Ariel suffered a severe arm injury from a shot by the Sky Clan's Silver Fox squadron. This caused permanent damage, ending her piloting career by preventing full aircraft control. During her recovery, Kal-el, expressing fear of losing her and admitting he couldn't live without her, relinquished their argument and accepted the role of older brother. Unbeknownst to him, Ariel was conscious and heard this. Afterwards, she affectionately called him "onii-chan" (older brother), much to his embarrassment.

Following her injury, Ariel left flight school to become a mechanic. In episode 13, she confessed romantic feelings to Kal-el just before his mission to rescue Claire Cruz, acknowledging his heart belonged to Claire. Accepting her unrequited feelings, she stated, "Goodbye... My prince... Some love songs can't be sung. It's for the best, isn't it?" Ariel exhibited jealousy toward Claire due to Kal-el's romantic involvement. Her assertiveness was evident, like punching Kal-el to stop him speaking during their farewell.

A skilled cook known for preparing delicious food, Ariel's relationships were marked by loyalty and complex emotional dynamics. Her bond with Kal-el transformed from initial rivalry and resentment into deep, albeit unreciprocated, affection. Her development traces a transition from a contentious sibling to a resilient individual who adapted to adversity by redirecting her passion from piloting to mechanics while navigating her feelings for Kal-el.
