Yan is one of the five goddesses comprising Aurora, the ruling council of Fuyuu City in a future space setting. As a member of Aurora, she wields power within the city's matriarchal society where men face discrimination. Yan presides from her position atop a disco building within a music-themed floating platform town, surrounded by followers while marginalized "otaku" men inhabit its lower levels. To earn Yan's recognition, the protagonist must first demonstrate kindness by retrieving a rose from a monster-cleared flower shop. Upon receiving the rose, Yan demands a battle challenge. Defeated, Yan regains lost memories, recalling Aurora's true mission on Earth: to find a man capable of saving the world by defeating dark forces. Following this revelation, she provides the protagonist with a plasma crystal, enabling a party member to cast spells and advancing the quest to awaken the remaining goddesses. Yan is also part of the idol group Aurora Gonin Musume, representing the five goddesses.
