Description
Hanzō Urushihara, once named Lucifer, is a fallen angel born to angel Ignora and demon Sataniel, his dual lineage bridging celestial and infernal realms. Formerly leading heaven’s archangels, he abandoned his post, weary of its rigid order, and allied with the Devil King’s army as a general during the Ente Isla conquest. Defeated by hero Emilia Justina, he later bargained with priest Olba Meyer, offering aid against the Devil King in exchange for restored heavenly standing—a pact shattered when the Devil King overpowered him once more. He now resides in Tokyo with ex-rivals Sadao Maou and Shirō Ashiya.

His human guise masks his celestial-demon roots: a petite, slouching figure sporting disheveled dark purple hair, violet eyes, and casual outfits of white shirts, rolled black trousers, and blue sneakers. Residual powers surface as shadowy wings, which briefly revert to pristine white when fueled by celestial-infused meals.

Lazy and tech-obsessed, Hanzō dodges responsibilities, fixated on gaming and internet browsing—habits earning him the titles “hikikomori” and “NEET.” Yet beneath his apathetic veneer lies shrewdness, from tricking others into retrieving his console to covertly selling possessions to ease financial strain. He intermittently sheds his detachment, aiding allies during crises with tactical precision.

His waning abilities include summoning wings for flight, hurling energy blasts, detonating feathers, and heightened durability, though Earth’s environment restricts these without absorbing human negativity. A skilled hacker, he exploits technology for covert communication or gaming dominance, mirroring his escapist tendencies.

Once antagonistic, Hanzō gravitates toward reluctant allegiance. He betrays Olba by sabotaging a spell meant to empower angel Sariel, tipping victory to the Devil King’s faction. Rejecting heaven’s overtures, he commits to a reclusive Earthbound life, balancing indolence with pivotal, understated support during emergencies.

Interactions with Sadao and Ashiya teem with bickering yet acknowledge his latent reliability. Emilia’s hostility toward him softens into wary coexistence, mirroring the story’s themes of fractured bonds mending. Though mocked for his sloth, actions like subduing Olba post-battle reveal an unspoken loyalty to his unlikely housemates.
