Description
Shirō Ashiya, bearing the demonic title Alciel, stands as the steadfast strategist and former chief general to the Demon King Satan. Hailing from Ente Isla’s parallel realm, he once commanded the Iron Scorpions, a clan feared for their impenetrable defenses and mastery of telekinesis. After falling to Satan in combat, he swore fealty, ascending among the Four Great Demon Generals to spearhead the Eastern invasion during Ente Isla’s subjugation. His campaigns, driven by convictions of demonic supremacy and human insignificance, mirrored his lord’s ruthless vision.

Exiled to modern Tokyo after defeat by the hero Emilia, Ashiya and Satan conceal their identities, stripped of power. Forced into domesticity, he manages household affairs with military precision, strategizing to reclaim their lost might. His human guise sheds demonic features—carapace, tail, and bulk—preserving only his towering stature and pale-blond hair. Practical attire defines his new life, notably a green apron echoing his former battle-cape.

Alciel’s loyalty to Satan intertwines with shrewd pragmatism. He governs their finances with an iron grip, sparring with Satan’s extravagance and Lucifer’s indulgence. This frugality, however, doubles as a weakness; rivals tempt him with bribes for secrets. Though contemptuous of humanity, he harbors reluctant concern for Rika Suzuki, a human smitten with him. Unaware initially, he later unveils his monstrous form to deter her, only to waver when she remains undaunted.

Even powerless, his tactical brilliance endures, crafting schemes to survive Earth’s challenges and thwart Ente Isla’s lingering threats. Residual powers—telekinesis, energy blasts, flight—flicker weakly unless amplified by human despair. His resilience persists, mending wounds through Satan’s shared demonic energy.

Adapting to mortal drudgery, Alciel navigates grocery runs and budgeting without forsaking demonic pride. Encounters with humans, notably Rika and Emilia, erode his rigid prejudices. He addresses Satan with unwavering formality yet endures a farcical rivalry with Lucifer, berating his recklessness.

Expanded lore reveals his past reign over the Iron Scorpions before their assimilation into Satan’s legions. His strategies remain pivotal against otherworldly foes, even as he juggles chores. The narrative probes his duality: a general torn between infernal allegiance and budding empathy, his loyalty strained by shifting alliances and moral ambiguity, all while clinging to the remnants of his once-unshakable identity.
