Movie
Description
Erika Kurumi is a 13-year-old student at Myoudou Academy living above her family's fashion shop, Fairy Drop. She possesses dark blue eyes and matching wavy, shoulder-length hair, typically styled with center-parted bangs. Standing at 152 cm, she is notably shorter than her peers, reaching about Tsubomi Hanasaki's chest height. Her civilian outfits frequently include pale blue dresses with layered skirts, turquoise blouses, and accessories like cross-body bags featuring heart-shaped buttons.

Her defining passion is fashion design, a path chosen after abandoning childhood dreams of becoming a charisma model like her mother. This shift stemmed from intense jealousy towards her older sister Momoka, who achieved modeling success early; this jealousy once turned Erika's white cyclamen heart flower red. Though now focused on design, her creative process often leaves chaotic, messy workspaces. She founded and assertively leads the school's Fashion Club, recruiting members like Tsubomi through energetic persistence.

Erika transforms into Cure Marine, embodying the daisy and wielding water-based powers. Her signature catchphrase, "Even if my heart is larger than the sea, I have reached my limit!" reflects her marine theme. Transformed, her hair lengthens to knee-level and turns sky blue, splitting into two wavy sections with elongated forelocks. Her Cure attire is a pale blue mini-dress with dark blue straps, a chest bow holding a heart-shaped brooch (the Heartcatch emblem), and flower motifs on her hips and ankles. She wears blue shoes, white knee-high socks, a choker, and wields the Heart Perfume, stored in a frilly carry bag.

Her upgraded forms alter her appearance:
* **Super Cure Marine:** Features a lighter color scheme, a heart-shaped tiara, thigh-high socks with pale blue bands, white opera gloves, and rainbow wings.
* **Rainbow Cure Marine:** Elongates her hair into neon-colored drills, adds feather-like skirt tails and ruffles, white gloves, and small wings.

Erika's personality is marked by cheerfulness, bluntness, and impatience, sometimes coming across as nosy or abrasive, especially initially towards reserved individuals like Tsubomi. She struggles with laziness regarding chores or homework and possesses a quick temper. Despite these traits, she shows strong loyalty and perceptiveness, using color therapy to gauge others' emotions and encouraging friends to express their feelings. Her relationship with Momoka significantly improved after rescuing her from a Desertrian, leading to mutual understanding and lighter teasing.

Key relationships define her journey:
* **Tsubomi Hanasaki:** Her best friend and fellow Pretty Cure; their bond deepened through shared battles and Fashion Club activities.
* **Coffret:** Her fairy partner admires her quick mastery of transformations but frequently argues with her over her laziness.
* **Itsuki Myoudouin:** Erika respects her as student council president; Itsuki permitted the Fashion Club despite Erika's tardiness and later became the third Cure.
* **Yuri Tsukikage:** Initially distant due to Yuri's aloofness, they became allies after Yuri revealed her identity as Cure Moonlight.
* **Azusa Takagishi:** A rival from the Drama Club; their dynamic became friendlier post-conflict.

In the Rainbow Jewel crossover film, Erika and Tsubomi receive an invitation to Fairy Park, where mascots present the jewel. They encounter other Pretty Cure teams as villains, revived by an entity named Bottom, attack the park. Separated from their fairies during Bottom's takeover, Erika and Tsubomi reunite with allies across the teams. After Bottom absorbs the Rainbow Jewel, all Cures attain Rainbow forms to defeat it. Following the battle, Erika and Tsubomi return home to find their friends waiting.
