Fumie Mizusawa is a Japanese voice actress and novelist born on January 9, 1980, in Tochigi Prefecture, Japan. She is a graduate of the Katsuta Voice Actor Academy. Her career began with stage work as a member of the Gekidan Moonlight theater company before she transitioned to voice acting, with her debut anime role being Kiri Mariarette in the 2003 series Divergence Eve. Over her career, she has been affiliated with several agencies, including Sigma Seven and Aoni Production, and as of March 2024, she is once again represented by Sigma Seven.

Mizusawa is widely recognized for her versatility, using a range of voices to portray characters from young boys and girls to adult women and even animals. One of her most iconic and enduring roles is that of Erika Kurumi, also known as Cure Marine, in the popular Heartcatch Precure! television series from 2010. This character became a signature role for her, which she has reprised numerous times in subsequent Pretty Cure crossover films, including Eiga Precure All Stars New Stage 3: Eien no Tomodachi, Precure All-Stars DX3 Mirai ni Todoke! Sekai o Tsunagu Niji-Iro no Hana, Eiga Precure All Stars: Haru no Carnival, and many others. Her performance as the energetic and fashion-loving Cure Marine is considered a highlight of her career and has connected her with the franchise's extensive fanbase.

Beyond the Precure franchise, Mizusawa has demonstrated her range through several prominent and varied roles. She provided the voice for Juliet Fiammata Asto Capulet in the 2007 anime adaptation of Romeo x Juliet. In the long-running Fate franchise, she has voiced Ayako Mitsuzuri, a role she has played in Fate/stay night, its video game counterpart Fate/stay night [Realta Nua], and the Fate/Grand Order x Himuro no Tenchi: 7-nin no Saikyō Ijin-hen special. She is also the voice of Lucifer in Duel Masters Versus and Duel Masters Versus Revolution Final, Gidget in Eureka Seven, Sakurako Taketomi in World Trigger, and Chihiro Kusaka in Battle Spirits: Heroes. Her work also extends into English-dubbed adaptations of Western properties, where she has voiced Pepper Potts in Marvel Disk Wars: The Avengers and Friday in Marvel Future Avengers Season 2.
