Fumie Mizusawa is a Japanese voice actress and novelist born on January 9, 1980, in Tochigi Prefecture, Japan. She is a graduate of the Katsuta Voice Actor Academy. Her career began with stage work as a member of the Gekidan Moonlight theater company before she transitioned to voice acting, with her debut anime role being Kiri Mariarette in the 2003 series Divergence Eve. Over her career, she has been affiliated with several agencies, including Sigma Seven and Aoni Production, and as of March 2024, she is once again represented by Sigma Seven.
Mizusawa is widely recognized for her versatility, using a range of voices to portray characters from young boys and girls to adult women and even animals. One of her most iconic and enduring roles is that of Erika Kurumi, also known as Cure Marine, in the popular Heartcatch Precure! television series from 2010. This character became a signature role for her, which she has reprised numerous times in subsequent Pretty Cure crossover films, including Eiga Precure All Stars New Stage 3: Eien no Tomodachi, Precure All-Stars DX3 Mirai ni Todoke! Sekai o Tsunagu Niji-Iro no Hana, Eiga Precure All Stars: Haru no Carnival, and many others.
