TV-Series
Description
Howan is a female Myumon of Arctic fox descent from the remote northern Eiyatto Village. She dreamed of city life and extraordinary pursuits, realizing her dream in MIDI City where her musical journey began.

She has baby pink hair swept into a left-side ponytail and bright blue eyes. Her matching fox ears bear white and red twisted cord ribbons with bells. A fluffy pink tail, darkening at the tip, completes her features. Her signature outfit is a sleeveless blue sailor top with a yellow neckerchief, a red skirt featuring deep V-shaped slits like a hakama, thigh-high blue tabi socks, and red geta sandals secured by red-and-white cord straps. A thick red-and-white twisted cord belt forms a large bow with a central bell at her waist.

Cheerful, curious, and earnest, Howan often expresses amazement with her catchphrase "howa howaaaa!!". Naïve about urban life and technology – like mistaking photographs for television – she nonetheless shows resilience and a strong dislike for losing. She experiences jealousy, especially concerning bandmate Mashima Himeko, internalizing these feelings as being "bad." Skilled in domestic tasks like cooking and cleaning, she struggles with numbers and tends toward clumsiness and misplacing things. She previously worked part-time shoveling snow.

Her primary instrument is the electric guitar "Happy Eiyatto," inherited from her grandfather and resembling an akabeko design. As vocalist and guitarist for Mashumairesh!!, she drives their music. Her character songs include "Goodbye Thank You!" and "My Treasure Is With You," and she performs the duet "Palms" with Himeko.

Howan lives with Himeko, handling most household duties. Their relationship evolves profoundly; initial jealousy transforms into deep mutual support, forming a central emotional anchor. She also befriends bandmates Ruhuyu and Delmin. Her backstory reveals she was originally a mascot for the Sanrio Animestore in Ikepoach, a role referenced within the series.

Her development focuses on adapting to city life while holding onto her core values. She navigates interpersonal dynamics within Mashumairesh!! and refines her musical identity. In later appearances, she continues performing with the band, participating in events like a curling tournament and collaborating with groups such as Plasmagica on songs like the fourth season's opening theme "Do Re Mi Fa STARS!!".
